So hello, I recently went ahead and tried to log into my Guild Wars account, but it appears I'm getting an error code "3023" and after a brief search I figure someone ( third party) tried to access my account and I have been locked out.
Not only am I locked out of the game itself, I am also locked out of Arena.net so I can't login to speak with any support. I have emailed support of course so I suppose I'll wait on that, but even requesting password resets don't work as no emails get sent to me after numerous tries.
Now, I understand account security and whatnot and am fine with waiting for a response.
I bought Guild Wars on release (as well as all expansions) so my copy is very old, like I had stated in my email to support, I'm sure I have the origianl boxes around somewhere for keys but I hope it doesn't come down to much hassle for this account to be resolved.
I was an extremely active Guild Wars player and posted numerous solo necromancer guides on the Guild Wars forums and was at one point featured on the Guild Wars website for giving away cash and items all the time. I had logged on from time to time to check my birthday pet gifts but now I can't log on to anything.
So I'm curious as to what to expect, I read that I may need to provide addresses at the time of original install, keys and other information that is 20 years old and all I want to do is jump back on and necro, am I hoping for to much? Has anyone had this happen and what was your experience like with support?
I mean I'm not all broken up about it, it's a 20 year old game, but I loved it and wanted to reminisce and run around, check stuff out, clean out my inventory and solo the Underworld.
