Guild Wars Revival Website & Interactive Map of Tyria

  • Guild Wars Revival Website & Interactive Map

We’ve been working on a new website for the Guild Wars Revival community, and I would love to share it with the Legacy community:

    https://gwrevival.com

The site is designed as a home for our community and alliance, with Luxon and Kurzick guild directories, individual guild profiles, community links, Discord sign-in and a dedicated onboarding page for anyone looking to join us.

The main attraction, however, is our Guild Wars 1 interactive map:

Guild Wars 1 Interactive Map | Tyria, Cantha, Elona & EotN | Guild Wars Revival
Explore the most comprehensive Guild Wars 1 interactive world map. Browse all outposts, missions, cities, and explorable areas across Prophecies, Factions,
    gwrevival.com

It currently includes six world maps covering:

    • Pre-Searing
    • Tyria and Eye of the North
    • Cantha
    • Elona
    • The Battle Isles
    • The Realm of Torment

You can search for locations, outposts and explorable areas; filter quests, NPCs, elite skills and other points of interest; and quickly jump to daily and weekly activities such as Zaishen quests, Wanted quests, Vanguard quests, Nicholas and the current PvE/PvP bonuses.

    The map also includes:

    • Quest, merchant, artisan and collector locations
    • Elite skill locations with profession filters and alternate spawn details
    • Animated mission walkthrough routes
    • Interior maps for areas such as the Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Sorrow’s Furnace, Dragon’s Lair and Canthan Undercity
    • Connected-area navigation between neighbouring zones
    • Marker clustering for busy areas
    • Shareable links that preserve the current map, position and zoom level
    • Mobile and touch-friendly controls

One of our favourite features is the path creator. Right-click anywhere on the map to draw your own route using to Guild Wars-inspired directional markers. Points can be moved, removed or annotated, and routes can be shared through a generated link.

Players who sign in through Discord can also:

    • Track completed locations and captured elite skills
    • Save named filter presets
    • Add private farming markers
    • Attach routes and Guild Wars build codes to farm locations

Everything has been built specifically for the site, including locally hosted map tiles, responsive controls and a custom decorative interface inspired by the original game. We’ve also credited the community projects that helped make parts of it possible, including GW-Memorial, that_shaman and GWToolbox++.

There’s still plenty we’d like to add, so feedback, corrections and suggestions are very welcome.
