    This is a rough summary of smiley-1's teambuild presentation of PvE-Meta in a Nutshell.

    PvE-Meta in a Nutshell

    f8c48dc42228a036.jpg

    This mercenary free teambuild combines a lot of the PvE meta for heroes: Mesmer Hexover, Discord, Ritualit spirits. It's designed for vanquishing, dungeons and missions in hard mode, but has not yet been tested in actually hard areas.

    Abstract

    Combines the most important conditions weakness, blind and deep wound (spreading them with [[Epidemic]), powerful damage skills such as [[Ineptitude], [[Clumsiness], [[wandering Eye], [[Mistrust], [[Discord], [[Putrid Bile], [[Putrid Explosion]. A [[signet of spirits] player and [[soul twisting] hero provide both powerful offensive and defensive spirits, a [[blood is power] hero supports the team's energy management. 3 copies of [[Protective was Kaolai] and 2 of [[spirit to flesh] make the team very stable.

    Info

    What's this?

    I attached parts of my current template folder to this post. Put the folder into C:\Users\*\Documents\GUILD WARS\Templates after unzipping the downloaded archive. Merge the folder with yours when prompted. You may want to have a backup of your old skills if you totally dislike what's provided by me.

    All template names are german, but most of them are the elite skill name or simply meaningless anyway. You can use the prefixes for quick and easy navigation:

    S = Player Template

    H = Hero Template

    Warrior: K

    Paragon: P

    Monk: Mö

    Ritualist: R

    Mesmer: Me

    Dervish: D

    Assassin: A

    Ranger: W

    Necromancer: N

    Elementalist: E

    Variable/none: X

    Example: H W-Mö Erzürnter Ausfall is a Ranger/Monk hero template with the elite skill Enraged Lunge.

    Except for [[Rodgort's Invocation] none of these skills are actually that good, though. [[Lightning Strike] is basically [[Lightning Hammer] for 5 energy and half the casting time, [[deep freeze] lies in a no damage attribute line, [[meteor shower] is wasted time and energy, [[spirit rift] would still take 4 seconds until it finally deals damage; melee players might have driven the foes away by then or simply killed them.

    I'd expect the best synergy in [[Stone Daggers]/[[flare] + [[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor]. I guess I won't have to say that this won't be that good. There's a reason people run armor ignoring damage, mostly. As a buff for mesmers, who have fast cast anyway, and necromancers, which don't even target foes with some of their most powerful skills ([[putrid explosion]), that elite skill simply doesn't sound as good as the other options.

    In normal mode you can usually just run as many copies of esurge and invoke as possible and drop all healing. I thought about stolen speed for discord style teambuilds, but never thought it could be useful enough to justify chosing it over e.g. fevered dreams or a damage elite skill.

    As seen here I play that build a bit differently. Over [[power drain] and [[you move like a dwarf] I chose [[overload] and [[shatter delusions]. When you played with the overload combo once you grow to love it! Roughly 160 AoE with a recharge of 4 seconds; you just have to be able to hit skills with it. But isn't that part of the point of playing mesmer? I also chose [[empathy] over [[cry of pain] for a slightly more flexible build. [[Panic] + [[arcane conundrum] may shut down the majority of spells in well-balled groups, but against e.g. warriors you may feel a bit useless as they simply use their stances and attack skills, so you aren't able to do much against them. One could of course combine the advantages of both skills by simply bringing both of them, replacing the overload combo. Last skill's free to chose, one may want some help with the energy like [[drain enchantment] or [[guilt] for truly mindless wastrels spamming or [[cry of frustration] for a nice AoE rupt with proper damage.

    But if you want to really make sure that wastrels uses its full potential, you'll have to bring [[psychic instability]. At 12 fast cast it knocks those nasty foes down for 4 seconds while recharging within 8 (or 7 with 13 fast cast). Combined with the other rupts it's a safe source of damage as well as shutdown. Other than the [[lyssa's aura] spam build this one is not to be used as mindlessly, rather gets hurt by more sources of shutdown (because that may make you miss your elite rupt!) but can get some help from a [[blood is power] support to use its potential completely. Last skill could be [[cry of pain] or [[mistrust], may bring both and replace [[power spike] for it. Depends on preferance, the probability of successfully hitting [[power drain] and the available of energy support.

    [build=OQBDAawDSvAIg5ZFgcQZAEBkA]

    If you don't have mercenary heroes, change Razah to your third mesmer. That's usually a good idea anyway. Tested with sup dom/ilu rune + major fast cast (=430 health) on the mesmers, it's lovely, I should try dual sup rune next and run protective spirit over spirit bond. Played full prot myself:

    [build=OwAS8YITEEaR5gCE3VrEtEba]

    But I guess that a hybrid monk would work well, too:

    [build=OwATAzG/SyLqBclQg4ua6bTD0D]

    Tested in Eastern Frontier. Easily cuts through 4 to 5 Grawl healers simultaneously without balling the grawls, just make sure to put guardian on the right targets. But as you are monk I suppose you should be able to do that!

    Use [[Spiritual Pain] over [[Empathy] in Shing Jea; there's less physicals but some annoying spirits.

    Have fun with the build.

    Hello GWL people, if you need help with

    • quests (including Winds of Change etc.)
    • missions
    • vanquishing certain areas
    • making or altering your hero builds
    • deciding which equipment you should fetch
    • most other things which do not involve me providing you with currency or a run

    just let me know and I'll tag along when I have the opportunity. But do not use consumables while I help you, that is rude. I can't promise that everything will succeed first try, as i.e. some Winds of Change quests can be nasty. And I may tell you to change your build if you play a caller or warrior spirit spam or something similarly stupid.

    Whether I happen to be inactive for some days or not, feel free to offer your help, too, in this thread. It's for the community, after all.

    @Mods: This is not a service. Do not move this to the service subforum. (mod edit---no worries---works for me!--mod edit)

    • Source of Sunspear PvE skills.
    • Saves you paying gold for it, does not increase the cost of regular skill trainer services -> encouraged players to spend more time raising their PvE title ranks for "free" skills.
    • Get skills for professions you did not yet unlock as secondary professions.
    • Get skills earlier than skill trainers have them. Only relevant if those skills are not yet unlocked on the account.
    • More convenient to put an NPC over there than to tie the skills to skill quests as in the Factions tutorial and Prophecies.

    Hello, this is a service I generously offer to this community: I put my autograph on your weapon of choice!

    • By my nature I love violence. Therefore I only sign weapons which may be used to hurt things. Hammers, axes, staves and such are all fine. Focus or shield are not, ask some pacifist like Ali.
    • If you can not give me your weapon as it is bound to your soul or magnetic and sticking to your adamantium hand bones, I can not sign it.
    • I am indeed a peacock. That does not mean that you should immolate and eat me, but it means that I won't sign a weapon that is already someone else's personal killing instrument, adjusted to fit perfectly as an exension of his body.
    • My autographs have power. They are indeed really really powerful. But they're repulsive. They will not accept that any hand but the signer's will touch them ever again. As much value your weapon will gain ideally, it will lose in usefulness to you: You may never again equip them.

    You can pick any of my PvE toons, I'll tell you the names ingame and then you decide which name it shall be.

    Accepted payments for each weapon to be signed:

    • 1 Bobo
    • 3 Putrid Cysts
    • Make an offer.

    [build=OQej0xmDKTAh9YWYOMMMHMtbnYA]

    Dagger paragon. Play this build with support such as [[splinter weapon]/[[great dwarf weapon], [[balthazar's spirit], [[strength of honor], [[finale of restoration].

    [build=OQGjgmUcVSmYXF8ELOniieubqi]
    30 seconds quarterknock spam for 4 man areas.

    [build=OQGjgmlcVS8Ele+ihiKYietbAh]
    Compared with other spear builds this deals surprisingly high amounts of damage while still defensively supporting the team like a champion. Don't forget your tactic shield.

    Alright, here's some of mine.

    [build=OwFiMyd8AAAAxZHGD7gp/AA]
    Certainly the most well-known assassin build in Guild Wars. Spam a quick and effective dagger attack chain with AoE damage, while attacking more quickly and gaining a lot of energy back. Use zealous daggers. Get buffed with [[strength of honor] and [[splinter weapon] or [[great dwarf weapon].

    Skills which will be nice to add:

    • [["I am unstoppable!"] for knockdown and cripple immunity. The armor bonus is added after regular armor calculation and will stack limitlessly with other armor increasing skills, so it's definitely a superior defense skill.
    • [["Save yourselves!" (Luxon)] if your team needs the defense. This will reduce armor dependant damage by more than 80%.
    • [[Asuran Scan] against effects such as blind, block, [[blurred vision] or bad healers. Use [[wild blow] instead if the only annoyance is blocking stances. [[Signet of Malice] is the way to go if it's blind only.
    • [[Golden Fang strike] for spamable deep wound. Don't replace [[fox fangs] with it, it's meant as an additional offhand attack. Synergizes best with discord style teambuilds.
    • [[Death's Charge] as a cheap shadow step without downsides. Consider [[dash] aswell, but try not to cancel [[Way of the Assassin] with it when it's still recharging.
    • [[Ebon battle standard of honor] to increase minion or melee player damage.
    • [[whirlwind attack] for an AoE attack.
    • [[exhausting assault] or [[brawling headbutt] for single target shutdown.
    • [[Flashing blades] over [[Way of the Assassin] if you badly need the extra defense.

    [build=OwFiMyTM5pdKK+YUcVUDq/sIC]
    [["For great justice!"] allows to collect plenty of adrenaline quickly. Use [[magehunter strike] and [[protector's strike] as secondary ias for additional damage and faster adrenaline gain. Due to it's bugged lack of an aftercast delay [[brawling headbutt] allows you to use [[renewing smash] three times per knockdown for some great single target damage. Use a spirit of [[earthbind] on a hero and you can use it four teams per headbutt. Beware, though, blind and block will destroy this build.

    [build=OgljwkIsZSfehDkDfDeD6Q4g7Y]

    This build is designed to deal decent damage due to 17 air magic, cracked armor and 25% armor penetration. Precast [[Intensity] before combat so it's almost recharged after being triggered right in the beginning. Else, use intensity while casting [[invoke lightning]/[[chain lightning].

    Variants:

    • Any utility skill over [["Fall back!"], e.g. [[protective spirit], [[spirit bond], [[great dwarf weapon], [["By Ural's Hammer!"], [[Chest Thumper].
    • [[Lightning Surge] over [[Thunderclap] against bosses and in prophecies missions. Chain lightning after lightning surge with a delay of 0.2 seconds so its damage will deal more damage due to cracked armor.

    [build=OQNDAsw+Q6ZmE8UTP5AuAzAkiA]

    If you face the undead and are bored by your usual builds, go for this signet smiter. 16/15 fast cast, 14 domination magic. Fun to play in Shards of Orr.

    [build=OQhjAwCc4Q0ATP2gmOaAuAzAJX]
    [[Panic] build for massive AoE shutdown. Only use this when it's needed, like playing Thannakai temple without a healer. This build does not feature rupts as panic will make you miss them anyway.

    [build=OQBDAqwDSnATPCO2gbA5AZAEBA]
    Massive AoE damage [[energy surge] build. Requires you to be able to hit "rupts" frequently. Requires [[blood is power] support.

    [build=OQBCAswUMwJgNoKgpz0jGgLA]
    Single target damage [[energy surge] build, works best with energy surge heroes. Support by [[blood is power] is adviced. Play two superior attribute runes.

    Variants:

    • [[spiritual pain] over [[energy burn], especially if there's spirits or minions.
    • [[shame] over [[empathy] or [[mistrust] if you need the energy or backline shutdown.

    [build=OQBDAowjOtspnG4mKDEcmuNA]
    If your team has plenty of shutdown you'll love to spam wastrels skills.

    [build=OQZCAcw0LACYeWBoNIJAyAcJ]
    Use two superior attribute runes for even more fun.

    [build=OQBDAasjStMrAIg5Z9UjOZA2g]
    If you don't have [[ineptitude] or want to be more useful against casters at the cost of losing damage and shutdown against physicals, this might be your build of choice.

    [build=OQBDArsDOhwbqM4CkDyAEheA]
    With 12 fast cast you knock your foes down for 4 seconds with a recharge of 8 seconds. Use a staff so you have a chance of 20% for halved recharge time on any skill in your build. This mesmer provides both excellent shutdown and damage. Don't miss your rupts.

    [build=OwEUAFnS5KSAA9F8E7gTNaFyDzD]

    Tired of healing? Have a trustworthy player use [[protective spirit] on you and grab a sword! Use a 15/7 tactic shield.

    Variants:

    • [["Save yourselves!" (Luxon)] to reduce armor dependant damage dealt to your team by more than 80%.
    • [[Judge's insight] against undead.
    • [[Smite Hex] or [[smite condition].
    • [[Asuran scan] if things keep you from hitting.
    • [["I am unstoppable!"] if things knock you down or cripple you.
    • [[Soldier's speed] to run away from the monks healers.
    • [["By Ural's Hammer!"] to rezz your whole team, as you'll obviously be the last survivor.

    [build=OwUTMYHDHynpHIDYVchg6zlYeAA]
    Support for your melee player friend, such as the above mentioned scythe damage warrior. Use [[Ray of judgment] only when it really hits a lot of foes, you have better things to do with your energy.

    [build=OwUSA5GTeR5g+DXEdRTfBBge]
    [build=OwUTA52OMKu63ZjIHc67jQ0JIA]
    Full healer builds copying [[Unyielding Aura] from a team mate.

    [build=OwASA5HTEEaR5gCE3VtEbage]
    Prot build. Use [[Mend Condition] as a healing skill when your backline partner falls asleep because you carry so much.

    Variants:

    • [[Holy veil] over [[Remove Hex] wherever there is [[Shame], [[Mark of Subversion], [[backfire] and similar stuff.
    • Replace [[Remove Hex] by [[shielding hands] or [[reversal of fortune] if there's no hexes.
    • Replace [[Guardian] by [[shielding hands] or [[reversal of fortune] if there's no physicals.
    • Replace [[spirit bond] by [[protective spirit] if foes are onehitting your team.

    [build=OwATAzG/yxLe30iCk760/mA6B]
    First use your prots, then use your heals. Reducing damage is almost always the way to go. Use [[draw conditions] to keep your physicals working, they're worse than dead while blind, weak or crippled.

    Variants:

    • [[Mend condition] over [[draw conditions] when there's dazed.
    • [[seed of life] or [[vigorous spirit] or [[patient spirit] or [[dwayna's kiss] over [[signet of rejuvenation] or [[spirit bond].
    • [[shield guardian] over [[guardian] if there's no noteworthy physical damage to be expected.

    [build=OAdDQTxGTbh0BMVrgINRCfBkiA]

    Massive armor ignoring point blank AoE damage. Use [[foul feast] over [[light of deldrimor] if foes apply conditions. Requires decent healing power to be kept alive. Check [this] if you want to play with heroes.

    [build=OAdCYcxESFVAewWYuYjYC4EE]
    Supportive [[Order of Undeath] minion master. Don't use [[animate vampiric horror], get a healer. Bone Fiends have 40% ias compared to other minions, which means they will have 60% more attacks. Their damage can be quite brutal, especially with your two damage buffs. Let your team bring cracked armor, [[blood bond], [[life]/[[recuperation], [["Fall back!"].

    [build=OAdTYwC7VaBSBcX0mMmcL8o6LA]
    AP caller with a shambling minion army.

    [build=OAdCYcxUMzN4XgC4W4N5u4EE]
    Discord, feels less generic than AP. As seen [here].

    [build=OgcTYzb2Z6UUWC3whhh5ghHk2AA]

    Dagger ranger with pet.

    Variants:

    • [[Flashing blades] over [[enraged lunge].
    • [[golden fang strike] over [[brawling headbutt].

    [build=OgcSc5OTni8aEfOMMMHMvl0k]
    Dagger ranger without pet.

    Variants:

    • Replace Skills 1–3 with [[Dwarven Stability], [[Lightning Reflexes], [[Moebius Strike].

    [build=OgATcXrmV6V6yAVC3YmkHMXk2A]
    Bow ranger with pet.

    [build=OgATcXslZam8UCVSmM3iC8uE5A]
    Bow ranger without pet.

    [build=OgASY5LT7G8G4Geh8WricG0G]
    Pet Ranger. Use a roller beetle as pet. Keep in mind that pets have inherent bonuses in PvE, such as +33% damage. This will be applied to pet attack skills, too, as well as damage increasing skills such as [[great dwarf weapon]. It will also apply to [[splinter weapon] for a smashing armor ignoring AoE damage of 74 per attack – if used by a ritualist.

    Variants:

    • If you don't have a roller beetle, consider using [[enraged lunge] as elite skill and drop [[predator's pounce] for [[call of haste].
    • If you have [[Blood is Power] support and wield a staff, let it be a smiting prayers staff, go for 9 smiting prayers and expertise, drop [[predator's pounce] for [[Strength of honor] and start wanding.
    • If you feel passive, drop [[predator's pounce] for [[necrosis].

    [build=OAejQuiWHTIbZgDfCQEfHM0kqi]

    Spirit strength dagger rit without energy issues. Get someone to use [[strength of honor] on you!

    [build=OAOiQyhM9MtKGPJNN5MMxJC6B]
    Ritualist healer for pugs with at least two physicals. It's not that good at healing, but it has almost infinite energy and the damage and defense boost by [[great dwarf weapon] renders this build actually quite good. You can keep the weapon spell up on 4 party members without any trouble.

    [build=OAOjQqirjSOTXTlTMTriYM3EzD]
    Support ritualist for teams with 2 or more melees.

    [build=OASiQyiMdNVOVNNAyMdDuLixA]
    Less passive spirit spam.

    [build=OACjQugmITXTlT+gdiQTMTKTDg]
    Body block spirit spam.

    [build=OACiQygM5M5s9NFtt5c2k5MAC]
    Communing spirit spam. Use [[dissonance] or [[disenchantment] only when needed.

    [build=OQcSEZJTRFCFGF7gQF2FaFTQ]

    Damage axe warrior. Keep [[frenzy] up all the time, it's good. Use [[protector's strike] as secondary ias, spread deep wound. Use this build with support such as cracked armor, [[splinter weapon]/[[great dwarf weapon], [[strength of honor], [[dark fury].
    [Exemplary video]

    Variants:

    • [[Dwarven Stability] over [[Dash] for 16 seconds frenzy.
    • [[Death's charge] over [[Dash] for entering combat even faster.
    • Replace [[Executioner's strike], [[power attack] or [[dash] with [[cyclone axe] in areas with plenty of balling foes.
    • Replace [[Whirlwind attack] with [[agonizing chop] or any other fun skill in areas with few balling foes.

    [build=OQoiExpMBAIUYUwctDqVYXAAA]
    Damage scythe warrior. Keep [[frenzy] up permanently, it's good. Use [[Protector's strike] and [[Mystic Sweep] as secondary ias. Use this build with support suck as cracked armor, [[judge's insight], [[splinter weapon]/[[great dwarf weapon], [[strength of honor].

    Variants:

    • [[Dwarven Stability] for 16 seconds frenzy.
    • [[Asuran Scan] against anything that makes you not hit your target.
    • [["I am unstoppable!"] wherever something tries to stop you with knockdowns or cripple.
    • (Replace [[Whirlwind attack] with) [[body blow] for deep wound.

    [build=OQASE5JTGFhF7gxRiPAA2FaF]
    Damage hammer warrior. Hit [[frenzy] whenever you've got the energy for it, it's good. Use [[Crude Swing] and [[Whirlwind attack] against balling foes. Use [[Yeti Smash] to knock all those nasty foes down. Spam [[renewing smash] 4 times each knockdown for devastating single target damage and plenty of adrenaline. Use this build with support such as cracked armor, [[judge's insight], [[splinter weapon], [[strength of honor], [[balthazar's spirit], [[withering aura].

    [build=OQcTEZK/H6qwwC3pvYqZHkvimE]
    Regular strength based [[Hundred blades] warrior. I had a better variant with tactics somewhere, but I can't find it. Use this build with support such as cracked armor, [[splinter weapon], [[strength of honor], [[dark fury], [[barbs], [[mark of pain]. Dark fury allows together with [["for great justice!"] to spam [[sun and moon slash] for grotesque damage.

    [build=OQkSEZJTmYXFGWSFQFVi8V0k]
    [build=OQkSEZKTmYXFGWLOniie8V0k]
    Two oldschool strength based single target damage spam builds. Use them with support such as [[splinter weapon]/[[great dwarf weapon], [[dark fury].

    [build=OQASE5JTGFoFlFiPJO3l3F0k]
    This hammer warrior is the opposite of what you'd usually expect. He attacks with an outrageous speed, rupts people and got way more armor than a warrior wielding a shield. [[dwarven battle stance] rupts before the attack skill checks for conditions, so [[counter blow] may knock down casting foes. Spam [[renewing smash] on knocked down targets as usual. Use this build with support such as cracked armor, [[judge's insight], [[splinter weapon]/[[great dwarf weapon], [[strength of honor], [[dark fury], [[withering aura]. Dark fury allows together with [["for great justice!"] to spam [[sun and moon slash] for grotesque damage.

    Variants:

    • Replace [[protector's strike], [[staggering blow] and [[counter blow] with [[crude swing], [[whirlwind attack] and [[yeti smash] for an AoE build variant.

    Thanks for the reply! Yes, using foul feast works very well in every area where foes apply conditions. While it would be possible to use ff on the BiP just getting your own conditions back the effect of it would usually be quite meek. You only apply 3 conditions on yourself, two of them have a short duration and it takes some luck to have the BiP ff your three conditions when all of them are applied and early enough for you to get them back. Therefore I usually run light of deldrimor over foul feast. It's not a great skill, but I think the 80 AoE in such a large area might be worth more. Also, your skills usually recharge quickly enough for you to have barely any downtimes, so using ff solely for triggering masochism/dark aura is not needed. But if you aren't going for a build version that's as general as possible, ff is definitely the better choice.

    This hero teambuild is designed to ensure a [[contagion] player necromancer's survival. It's not intended to be the most smashing of all builds, but it's fun to play this necromancer. If you don't want to get involved in point-blank killing action, try this mercenary free build instead: [Discord/Keystone Signet Hero Teambuild for Nec/Mes]

    46184337bdc98748.jpg

    [[Panic], [[ineptitude] and mesmer minion masters will provide plenty of shutdown and synergize well enough both with each other and the solo conta necromancer. Bone minions at level 10 are ideal for a minion bomber and the perfect distraction from our self-sacrificing melee caster. The backline is completely different from what you'll usually see (in my builds): The [[blood is power] healer has been redesigned to a heal and protection support without single target healing to give the hero more time to have a [[foul feast] on conditions from the contagion player, which increases the damage output. Due to the large amount of enchantments in this team two copies of [[Dwayna's kiss] suffice as single target healing skills, leaving the other skill slots for prots, party healing or energy management.

    If you want to try a fevered dreams teambuild with your dervish but don't have any mercenary heroes, try this completely unrelated old unoptimized teambuild:

    [build=OAOjEuiMpNXTMm3slINncDzkL]
    [build=OgNCw8zDtoWcTgazEtY94uC]

    Cheers.

    This teambuild for a dervish with mercenary heroes has originally been a PvE adaption of the GvG trip melee fevered dreams meta back in 2012, but due to AI issues it does not make sense to run more than one melee hero, so the third dervish gets replaced by another midline character. Featuring fevered dreams and dual splinter weapon it's a team build that's fun to play, despite not being as stable as you might expect it from three ritualists and three mesmers. Reason is the hybrid character of the healer's and the inability to use quick, strong heals such as [[Spirit Transfer] without [[Blood is Power] energy support.

    Damage-oriented teambuild for paragon players with 2 or more mercenary heroes. The synergy of a paragon's protective power, mesmer shutdown and defensive communing spirits renders this team very stable despite being so damage-heavy. Usually there won't be enough damage to make the BiP healer use his restoration magic on anyone but himself. Due to [[spiritual pain] and [[empathy] physical foes are cut down quickly despite their lower energy pool and all hostile summoned creatures vanish immediately.

    d9dbcd77a16a2e63.jpg

    Player: Use [[spear of fury (Luxon)] after [[blazing spear]. Use [["Save Yourselves!" (Luxon)] only when your team needs the protection or you need the energy. If you smartly rotate through your attack skills you can either keep up SY permanently or use attack skills on every attack, depending on what's needed. If you're hexed, move near foes as heroes will intelligently use [[shatter hex] as a damage skill. Try to hit summoned creatures with [[holy spear] for armor ignoring AoE bonus damage before spiritual pain destroys them.
    Use a tactics shield.

    Used in Hard Mode in all campaigns and Winds of Change. Accidentally did my survivor title running this. With slight changes and a conset usable in DoA HM.

    Strengths:

    • Quick, devastating damage burst.
    • Paragon dealing damage.
    • Easy survivor title.
    • Shutdown by mistrust, rupts and energy depletion.
    • Excellent enchantment and hex removal if needed.
    • Excellent survivability.
    • Total destruction of summoned foes.
    • Resistant to hex, enchantment and condition removal.
    • Does not need corpses.

    Weaknesses:

    • Low amount of healing. Not an issue unless there's plenty of armor ignoring constant damage such as from environment effects.
    • Damage against physicals mostly single-targeted.
    • No [["Fall back!"].

I only used it twice and not even in the domain of anguish. Replace [[mistrust] or [[spiritual pain] with [[shatter hex], [[overload], [[empathy], [[shatter enchantment] depending on what's needed. Replace [[drain enchantment] with [[waste not want not...], [[guilt] or [[shame] if and only if there's no enchantments at all.

    Equipment: Run superior domination magic and fast cast runes on your mesmer heroes aswell as a major inspiration magic. Change the base attributes to 12-11-6. Equip them with +60hp staves.

    Have fun testing and discussing the build.

    [[Discord] and [[keystone signet] adjusted to my playing style. Intended to be played as necromancer or mesmer. Has not yet been thoroughly tested as a [[fevered dreams] mesmer, but should work well.

    5405d9fb8355cb2b.jpg

    Discord is an interesting skill, but I dislike the restoration magic hybrids many people play it on.

    • Death nova on a non-mesmer minion master reduces the number of succesful [[death nova] casts on minions due to the casting time. It will also make them fall behind a lot. Mid-combat two seconds casting time and the aftercast delay are pretty annoying.
    • [[Masochism] on healers.
    • Hero AI of offensive/defensive hybrid builds. Way too often they will not heal when necessary or will overheal when they should deal damage.

    By using the discord necromancers as pure damage dealers with paragon support shouts that don't keep them from casting those issues are avoided. [["Fall back!"] helps the minions and minion masters to not fall behind. Most minions and two death novae are outsourced on signet mesmers as they have 16 fast cast anyway, resulting in less than half the usual casting time. No [[protective was Kaolai] prevents 40/20/20 staves from triggering and giving them another 50% reduced casting time with a chance of 36%.

    Strengths:

    • Solid damage output, balanced single target and AoE damage.
    • Despite the tiny backline pretty stable.

    Weaknesses:

    • Requires exploitable corpses to work.
    • Less effective against massive enchantment or hex removal.

Every video features a new team build, template codes in the description and some infos about the mission or quest with tactic and skill choice suggestions for people who have trouble with a specific part of the mission. Already included are missions such as Eternal Grove, Aurora Glade and Dunes of Despair, which many people experience as troublesome due to clumsy tactics.
    I also kept the cutscenes, so if anyone quit GW and feels like re-experiencing some of those glitching, static cutscenes, there you go!

    I uploaded a bunch of matches in the past, TS talk is included. Played a large variety of roles, succeeding in none of them. Enjoy a good laugh when you see me throwing matches.

    I probably won't upload much new PvP content in the future given PvP died. Cheers!
