Vermin are'nt elementalists either, yet Unholy provided proof of them dropping a Paper Lantern. Vermin and Mantids have a similar loot table aswell, so it's not too far fetched. I personally believe Paper Lanterns have better odds of dropping from or near Elementalist mobs but they can still drop elsewhere too.
That was a chest drop.
-
It was a drop from a Mantid, not from a chest.
I've farmed them a lot aswell and have never got one until recently, it really surprised me. Also found a Bladed Shield and a Paper Fan from them aswell.
Their loot table is quite interesting.Bladed Shields, sure. Never as golds though, and rarely at any rate. But they're not elementalists. I'll need to see a screen to believe they drop Paper Lanterns.

Vanquishes are done with a full party, minus the slot for the AFK buyer (with a few possible exceptions in areas where quests can significantly reduce spawns). So this always takes time, there is no way around that. The only increase in speed comes from the use of a conset, which most people offering such services tend to go with, and decent hero setups, of course. If you're vanquishing anyway, this is an option to make some money along the way, if you're confident in your heroes. Assuming people still pay for those services, that is.
For dungeons, every dungeon (except for the solo ones, of course) can be run by a single player with relative ease. In those cases, the runner would usually know the dungeon quite well and solo it without heroes. Some kind of Shadow Form build would be usual here. They'll be slower than the solo records to increase safety, but faster than a player with a hero team killing stuff along the way. For most dungeons, an experienced runner can do it without a conset even. This is not something that you should charge for if you intend to just do the dungeon "normally" with yourself + six heroes, leaving a slot open for another player to leech through.
MIssions are often less "runnable", so here just dropping a hero for a leecher might work out, so long as you know the mission well. Occasionally, you might want your customer to be available to skip cutscenes or somesuch.
For elite areas, these things tend to be group efforts, at least full clears. I doubt anyone will solo all of UW by themselves as a paid service. Four people would probably be the minimum here, and the leecher would need to put in some effort at Dhuum. FoW might be done by 2-3 people? Not so sure here. A run to just the armoursmith is probably fine solo. For Urgoz, maybe 3-4 people could run the whole thing in relative safety and without spending too much on cons, for Deep the minimum amount of players is technically 4, but I doubt anyone who would offer such a run would be going with less than 6. But to be honest, I suspect not many people would run this sort of thing as a service anyway. The golden days of people wanting the statues for their HoM are over

Hell, you can *get through* almost all PvE content with any old meme build.

Well, you can see that the non-mercenary version is almost identical to the old BiP Melee Support, while simply also incorporating a non-melee version. Both builds were intended to be for players without mercenaries and without Zei Ri. From what I recall, the "Offensive Mesmerway" is simply a merger of the old BiP Caster Support and BiP Melee Support builds.
The Mercenary Mesmerway is then an improved version relying on at least one mercenary hero. Since many people do not have mercenaries (and most characters do not have Zei Ri), there is value in having both versions available. So generally, one would assume that the mercenary version is stronger (though note that there might be situations where the additional mesmer would perform worse than the minion master).
EDIT: Well damn, I took too long to fix my typos.

Bump. Forty Second Rogue: Sorry, I already have that combination as Q11

Bump. @A Gods Essence: As stated above, I am only looking for 20/20 ones.
-
-
I am looking to buy (mostly) mixed attribute 20/20 Celestial Staves. To be more specific:
- R9-R13, only attributes that can still drop (I believe there once were Restoration staves - if so, I don't want those)
- 20% HCT inherent mod, attribute doesn't have to match the requirement.
- Max damage, max HSR
- While I am mostly interested in mixed attributes, if you have matching ones let me see them. Depending on cash reserves, I might like those.
Ideally, please provide a screenshot of the item card. Alternatively, I need to know: Req, HCT attribute, gold value and damage type (for ritualist attributes). Since most of these staves have no practical value, I pay according to req:
R9: 30e, R10: 27e, R11: 24e, R12: 21e, R13: 18e
Of course, matching attribute ones are a different story, here we would need to find a fair price.
I am not interested in one-offs, near max, other inherents, 20/10, other skins, etc. Only 20/20. Only Celestial Staves.
Keep in mind that I already have a fair amount of these and don't need duplicates, but there are plenty of gaps left in my collection.
Feel free to contact me via this thread or PM if you have something
There is now only a single combination completely missing - if you find one, I will pay 250e for it.

Yeah, the drops are generated at instance creation (back in the days, they also all had the same rarity iirc, so if one person got a purple from a chest, nobody else would open it). And since the game stacks the same kind of item if they're stackable, the first person who gets the Elite Tome (should also work for normal ones, actually) simply gets them both. Or all three. In effect, you're stealing someone else's loot. As far as I know, another person in the instance will receive nothing from that chest. At least, I have never seen one person get an Elite Tome and someone else get the same type of Elite Tome from the same chest.
The odds are then simply the odds of [number of human players in the instance] rolls having two of the same type of Elite Tome. Not technically hard to calculate if you know the odds of getting an Elite Tome from a chest.

BUMP. As before, contact me via PM if you won an auction. I will keep this open for a few more days in case anyone wants to offer on some of the remaining items before I merch them.

One more bump, I think it's been 24 hours
For those items that are labelled "SOLD", please contact me via PM so we can arrange the trade.

Back up we go. I updated some numbering (there is no longer a shield 120). Don't be shy, people.
Note: A 420e outbid on a previous 400e offer is getting very close to being ignored. Apparently 420 is funny though, so I went with it anyway. Just use common sense here please.
