Sure it wasn't, because as you can see with +8 armour from a q12 strength shield the damage is higher

The mesmer shield was going to be my favourite, but like Bowie said, it cannot be upgraded with a shield handle.
I turned to the necro scythe and assassin bow next, and while the descriptions say they are tied to soul reaping/crit strikes attributes, in reality the weapons are still dependent on their normal attributes for damage (scythe mastery/marksmanship). See screenshots attached.

Sure this wasn't just from the +8 armour you got from shield? Test it without 9 FC and with would be a better bet

Since a child I’ve always thought:
What if I craft obby armour, put it in Storage, delete my character and then recreate my character with the same name and profession.. will I be able to use it as a level 1?Has anyone tried this?
Older me would assume the armour is actually customised to a character ID under the hood, not a character name.. -
