It may not be but it was the only thing that was able to get the EAX/3d audio button working on my system.

Just wanted to leave a tip that helped fix issues for me for anyone having issues on Windows 10. After doing all the steps I could not get 3d sound or EAX to be select able. What fixed it was setting the compatibility of Guild Wars to " Windows XP Service Pack 3 " I hope this helps anyone having issue.
