ooooooo
soo cool to see stuff from before it all began!
Great find! -
ah, sorry to hear about your gf (sounded pretty serious if you remember how long you had been together).
(and I cant go on ANY rides anymore--not even its a small world at disney--that one because of the boat, the rest because of an inner ear disorder). Loved to swim when I was younger too, just cant seem to ...well, with my hair it would take hours after swimming to dry it, so while the swimming is great, the hours afterwards just dont justify it---but it is great exercise!
-
roller coasters used to be fun....now I cant go on them either.
and since I think everyone knows I am married....got a significant other?
-
Just wanted to wish all of our american friends a stuffed and safe (if you are travelling) turkey day!
(missed it for our friends to the north...guess it was earlier this month)....
-
I was wondering about that...glad it has been resolved!
-
I can certianly understand both sides here...wanting to send some good fuzzy thoughts to those are are currently running our game, and those wondering why we want to since the folks that cared so much for the game have left the company.
I like my fence and will continue to sit upon it (also quite broke right now, both physically and literal--and for the same reason :P)
-
I can understand where you are coming from.
On one hand you have the company, Areanet, that made one of the best games out there, ...as well as gw2...and on the other hand not many of the folks who had a hand in working on that game are still around.
On one hand you have gw2--and the folks that have created it, continue to focus ALL efforts on it, etc working at the same company that had a great team who made gw--most of whom have moved on, leaving almost no one there who even knows what gw is let alone why it was such a great game....and they are linked since the company owns both (but continues to use all resources to work on gw2).....am I getting close?
-
I read both threads, would love if they just finished the stuff they said they would years ago (updates on ranger, monk, etc and the elona beyond)...would HATE if they put the z-axis stuff (really is not necessary in gw), and if they updated the armor and characters styles with gw2 stuff---I would NOT play it (those are butt f-ing ugly!). I LIKE my ele (even though her neck is too long), I like most of the gw armors (would appreciate it if they did kurzick/luxon armor for paragon and dervish as well as finishing the eye dwarf armor for all classes other than warrior), so I see no need to change them.
As I have no other idea what HD really means (other than for tv--which I can NOT watch, HD tv makes me ill)...I cant say if I would buy more (as I have alredy multiple complete accounts). And since I still play on an XP computer with a 15" monitor, dont really need anything larger. -
I never said that you were... there are girls here too

ME ME!!!!
yep the fluffy mouise is a girl (ok the toy is a boy, but I am female). -
well, I think that horse has left the building for good...the impression I get from them is 'we wish gw would go away' so doubtful that anything other than minor updates (which they said --maintenance--) would ever happen (remember we are still waiting for the ranger and monk updates and the elona arc of the wik woc, not to mention the end of the evinna and adelburn stories).
Personally I think the character models of gw2 are hideous--the woman all look like pie faced does and the costumes (yes costumes) look more like something from mardi gras. I like gw characters they look right (ok the female ele's neck is a bit too long but other wise---), wish there were more options for hairstyles and color (especially for monk) but ....as for answering your questions: yes it is crazy, no it would not make financial sense and the last question, maybe.

ahem, we do have a minipet pricing guide at the top of this section....
anyways. I would say at the most 10k, though with the game being 11+ years old most people already have all the birthday minis so it could be a pretty hard sell at that price.

my favorite font is franklin gothic medium
though verdana is closest we have to it -
dang!
good to see you again Jimbo!
yeah, losing guru was more like losing a sibling or a twin---just cant believe that part of my life is gone and still look for it almost daily. We DO hope they get the archive back up (sometime soon-----) so we can at least look back on what we had.anyways good to see you again!
-
I wonder if she got her frog back or if they just made her a new one.
ama...lol, guess you can ask, but it doesnt mean they will answer.
(sorry been in a bad mood this week).glad to hear things got cleared up, just hope that the uped the security so it can not happen to anyone else.

What I can assure you of is that most of the data contained by the Guild Wars Guru forum wasn't lost, although I'm not certain of the exact time frame I might be able to share the archive containing it with the rest of the readers, approximately, it could be the end of the next month.
Great news! thanks!!! (will mark my calendar) -
Cant believe its been 50 years since Star Trek first aired on TV....
so I thought I would make a thread for anyone who wishes to reminisce about their star trek memories (I had a crush on Leonard Nimoy for most of the 70's and STILL have on one Patrick Stewart  )
I can remember when the next gen came out---I bought my first tv just to watch it (I was in college at the time). I never got to see most of the last season of Enterprise (was told I had not missed much either) because I was living in Japan--glad that a network has picked it up so I can see what I missed.
-
ah, I never heard of that bug before, thanks for the link (and posting was it really was/is).
-
/sad panda
I still use their wiki on ocassion--I like the set up better for some of the things, and the armor pages have better photos (ok one of them IS mine :D) usually. I find it easier to look thru their quest lists than the 'official' wiki, etc.yeah, getting rid of guru kind of hit me pretty hard--I used to set my day around it (gotta remember I started modding on it in 2008, back when the pages took minutes to load!), now even with both legacy and 2 modding takes me a few minutes (wow, used to take that to even load Ventari's sometimes!)
guess I have more time to play guildwars then
(or get a REAL job like my hubby wants me to---) -
aaaaaaaaaand because you asked for it (and I already basically said the answer ) :
QuoteNo update. They won't give me a date, unfortunately. They mentioned it had to do with Twitch acquiring Curse and that it will come back up when it comes back up.
yep curse seems to have other things on their plate than getting an ancient archive up and running again....sure hope whomever it was that was backing it up was able to do so since it doesnt look like 'soon' is in their answer.
-
nope...and since it was a holiday weekend here, doubt anyone was working on it. (highly doubt we will ever hear anything, but that is just my opinion---think curse has other things to worry about).
-
had to salvage some junk and got this for my troubles:

#50 5e
2 cloth(es) of the brotherhood @1e eapm for my info
edit: thanks for the trade!!!

I'm told they had to temporarily take it down, but that it should come back shortly™. There's no exact time/date, but it will be back.
is the current answer on the error.
-
/sadpanda
perhaps whomever was backing it up has done so and can get it up and running so we dont have to rely on curse. -
(I must be stuck on tv/movies)
The Hobbit -
-
lucky for us, none of them were near us (got lots of rain, thunder and lightning)...and now its acorn season, so our driveway looks like the aftermath of a storm everyday (and a hazard to walk on as well).
got to see the star trek movie this week before it left the theaters, too much action for me and not as much story--but that has been the way of the new star trek movies.
-
convertable...not a fan of bicycles (motorized or otherwise).
cake or pie?
-
victorian
east coast or west coast (USA)?
-
NCIS (tv program)
-
not a fan of either...but fireplace (you can usually keep the smoke and stuff in it rather than smelling it all the time)
white wine or red wine?
-
summer
pistachio or hazelnut?
-
well...I can answer that

I play just about daily and have been working on titles---am not too far away from treasure hunter and a bit farther behind on wisdom. I am also finishing up luxon. A few of my characters are doing survivor as well as eye titles and nightfall titles, and a few vanquishing cantha as well.
I have a guild with my husband (and his brother--they started the guild 11 years ago) as well as a guild on another account that I started by myself. I do no pvp as my reflexes are almost as slow as my internet connection at times.
my favorite characters to play are rit, ele, mesmer and necro, though I also enjoy smiting and playing my rangers. I do have a pet jahai rat named cosyfiep (on my smiting monk!). I have tried to learn sin and dervish but havent gotten the knack of them (I also have a paragon and a warrior to smash up things from time to time).
oh, and I collect things--not normal stuff either (though I would like to finish my minipet collection, but alas I think that is a pipe dream)....
-
once again....I will point my whiskers at the same culprit...
-
Just to get the ball (of cheese) rolling....here is a starter thread.
So is there anything you really want to know about the mods here?

-
can still be done, since its still around....someone just has to do it (and not me--I would manage to break it or delete it so dont let me even try).
I knew something was up with curse, just didnt know they were getting bought out.
-
got this today... /sad panda (this is what I get for dual mods)
-
ask Kevin...he created this...I did the reg OT threads...
