there are 3 chapters and one expansion of guild wars (not guildwars2). There are a few different packages that you can get them in though. There is a pvp only edition: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_PvP_Edition
and check out the wiki as well--it has some information about classes and such.
Whichever product you buy (with the exception of eye of the north which is only an expansion) you will have a few character slots so you can play around with different characters and with pvp you can quickly change to a new max level character.Whatever you decide. Welcome to guildwars and Legacy!

nice! (I have collectors editions of all on my main as well--with 35 slots, but only have 2 sets of fow....never really liked that set so only got the 2).
