Next time you decide on buying someone a birthday gift and can't decide on what, give them a copy of Guild Wars The price for the game wouldn't be much different from what you might spend on a sweater or other gift anyway. It would act as a "thank you" to all the awesome updates recently and also help draw in a few new players into the game. Not to forget, it could be a gift that could last for many years!

While the cupcake donation is a nice gesture, I do worry slightly about the health of our favorite GW1 staff. If we have them killed with eating too much sugar, who would then give us updates? At the same time, it's a nice gesture to reward them more directly. Buying GW1 game and give away wouldn't have any noticable effect on rewarding our favorite staff, so there's that. Personally though I think we should keep in mind that a healthy GW1 have an influx of new players, and so please consider it next time you contemplating on what to give someone for their birthday. And if you like this idea, be sure to spread it to others.

Thanks for all the feedback, it's really good to hear your comments! As it was my first competition, I wasn't sure how to properly judge everything subjectively in a fair manner. Especially in a screenshot competition where virtually everyone posted magnificent screenshots.

Mind you, the original pot were only 25a. I wanted to give a chance to those with a good talent an additional chance which is why I upped the total sum to 40a. I think I'm being fairly generous with the prices as a few months ago I didn't own more than maybe 5a total myself. It was thanks to a competition here at Legacy that ultimately gave me a price which I sold for 100's of arms. (I came 3rd I believe?). The thrill of winning for me was more fun than the actual money, and I decided I will use a substantial amount of that to give others a chance to feel that same thrill :cool:

And as a thank you to Legacy for giving me this opportunity in the first place, I held the competition solely here, hoping it would attract some new users to Legacy as well

I do plan another competition which might be more subjective. Maybe I ask for daily/weekly tasks, rewarding points to those that often complete them, including screenshots. The points would then increase your chance, but not entirely rule out those with less. I'm open for ideas!

All in all, we still have 15a looking for new owners. I haven't had much luck in convincing Legacy staff to volunteer as judges, so I think I will just pick 10 of my favorites, one from each participant. That way, those that posted just one screenshot would have an equal chance to win over those that posted ten screenshots. To be fair, those that posted multiple times do have a small edge as there's a wider selection. I do love all the screenshots, but I also want to reward quality over quantity. This means that if I'm 50/50 about deciding between two screenshots, I might give the edge to the one with fewer screens posted.

Do you use Windows 10? Perhaps you can try this (assuming English version):

1. Press Win-key, type/select "Graphics Settings".

2. Choose classic app, click browse.

3. Browse for your GW.exe file, click add.

4. Click the icon that now appeared and select options.

5. Change to High Performance.

While SCW and Bill have (more or less) ruled out skill balancing, perhaps it's not entire impossible. Full skill balances are a no. But if we can find and agree on max one or two inferior skills, suggest minor tweaks to make them just good enough to affect the current meta, maybe it's possible.

OP doesn't state if it's a laptop or desktop computer. Both GPUs can be found in desktops and laptops.

If it's a desktop then yes, disable the integrated GPU in your bios. Laptop is a different as you'd reduce your battery time to 2-3 hours.

It's simple. You let something hit you while you press against the door. A rogue minion, an aggroed minion or a melee foe. It can be a bit tricky but it's not difficult.

The catch is.. not all gates are clippable. Usually the wooden fence doors around Cantha are. Most people just bring a minion they can turn rogue (such as Veratas Aura + Release Enchantments, or even sac the necro hero to death).

Between Kaineng and Boreas, there are two such gates.

This have genuinely brougt peoole into two camps. Some on the extrene end. Opinions are good but in the end we have to respect each other's opinions. It's 2018, the chance of anything happening from this is close to nil. Some people will keep using it, others despise it. Live with it. At most we might get vague responses from Anet giving us similar responses like using other thirdparty apps like multilaunch, texmod or gwdressup.

But it won't stop other rogue programs (including bots) to abuse them unless they're patched on the server side. In this case it's a fault in the server and it makes sense to block all abuse of it, not just a single software using it.
