Ign Lakitu ManMh let me do some quick maths
all the following is not considering favor or not favor. I think i would now only resort to do this farm as well as others when favor is up. I used to always run until my inventory was full with goldies. I´d say this was about 15-20 slots. and maybe i got 1 shield every 2 times. So maybe 1 shield every 30, lets say 35 drops . Each run grants u 1-3 chests. Probably a bit mor than 2 per average. So maybe 1 shield every 15 runs. Sounds about right. and each run takes 2/3 mins, so i guess half an hour per shield. maybe bit more. If i go by feeling only id say you get roughly 1 shield per 30-45 mins.
Moneywise its pretty self sustainable without any shield drops. You´ll get lots of superior runes to sell to make up for the cost of the lockpicks.

Hey Peops,
So i logged on after a nice sunday and did some magmas chest runs as i sometimes do, cause as we all know, this game is just very relaxing. I filled my inventory once and merched as i always do and called it quits. Afterwards i said ah... cmon one more run for good luck and first chest gave me a little chuckle and this one:Step 1 Done. Step 2 though... identfying? thats another beast.....
But still q9 drops so rarely, so this is how gw traeted me today -
