    I have no idea about PvP, but for casual PvE:

    Monk has healing and protection.

    Ritualist's spirits can fill a similar role, and ritualist has some direct heling skills.

    N/Rt is a versatile healer that has lots of energy due to necromancer's primary attribute.

    E/Mo can heal, but relies on boons to be kept up. (Ether Renewal)

    Dervish with Avatar of Dwayna can heal.

    (2) I see the point for most weapons that there can be builds where you want to have just enough points in the weapon mastery to meet the requirement. Maybe daggers are the exception. Can't imagine dagger mastery < 12 would be all that useful.

    (4) Well, that's sad. I got a nice drop but sadly it's purple.

    Some questions as a returning player:

    (1) Apart from the weakness condition, there are very few skills that reduce attributes (i can only think of shadow theft and wail of doom). When selecting a weapon for a build, ideally the required weapon mastery should be at most (actual weapon mastery - 1), right? (e.g. r11 dagger with dagger mastery 12) Or is there any additional benefit of having a lower requirement?

    (2) Are there any "great" builds with weapon mastery <12? The only one i can think of is Dervish - Vow of Strength.

    (3) Regarding "7 Hero offensive Mesmerway": This setup has 3 domination mesmers. Would it be worse if using 2 domination and 1 illusion mesmer? (i want 1 setup that works well in general)

    (4) Are gold weapons more valuable than purple ones, even the stats are exactly the same?

    I can see the point for builds using mostly adrenaline skills. Maybe some builds on Warrior and Dervish.

    Regarding Zealous mod: regaining energy is a separate part of energy management.

    Adding energy to armor has a big tradeoff. Base armor form insignias is too valuable, and runes are always needed for +attribute and vigor. Maybe one or two +2 energy runes are possible for most builds (except warrior).

    The point about warrior's endurance is correct. With how this skill works, more energy is less valuable. If running high strength, warrior's endurance can raise energy up to 26, so it's still a consideration.

    I'm wondering which inscriptions are best for martial weapons in PvE (in the general case).

    I've read some opinions and it seems that 15^50 is very popular.

    But if i'm correct it applies only on the weapon damage, not the additional damage from skills. Meaning it's at most +5% overall dps in the best case scenario.

    Isn't +5 Energy better? Especially on classes with low Energy (Warrior, Assassin)
