Thanks for the direction Looney. I'll see if the problem persists and I'm tempted to do a full reinstall of the game anyway as my computer needs a good tidy up! It's just finding the time to do it all!

Both times I have loaded up GW recently I have had about a 5 minute wait due to the start up showing "Repairing Data Archive". Anyone else experiencing this or is it to do with my terrible computer?Thanks!

The modelling has begun! I decided to do it myself for the challenge and because I wasn't entirely happy with the level of detail from the exported models Marv pointed us too.
I'm using software which is much more engineering related as a pose to animation/modelling so it's proving a little more difficult but I'm hoping the results will be pretty good! -

Interesting! I think I did see this a while ago! I wonder how they got the 3D file of their character... any ideas?
Failing any exportation of files directly from GW I can attempt to model items myself. The software I use isn't particularly friendly towards organic shapes so it may take a while though!

As a design engineer I have access to a 3D printer and have a growing interest in this. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience or interest in 3D modelling and 3D printing.
I'd also like to know if anyone has any Guild Wars related CAD models. I'd particularly like to print a Crude Shield!

All very useful and informative Sax! Practice makes perfect! I think trying a whole new format of playing is always going to take some getting use to but if you can react quicker and perform better in the long run it's surely worth it!

First Post Yay. GW is back!
iam using 1-6 above keyboard for Skills and 7-8 binded to my back/frw. mouse buttons.
Q,E,R,F for my 4 Weapon Sets (Def, 20/20Heal, Prot Staff+20%, High Energy Set) Default im on def set with spear, as AI seem to use less anti mage spells on you then.
Mouse and WASD for movement. (In fights always mouse movement, gives better overview and you are faster by always going direct way)
I click the life bars in the party window, or in case of Prots, try to watch the battlefield and prot them by clicking the character getting aggro etc.
This is very similar to my current set up and technique, hadn't thought about assigning back/forward mouse buttons to 7/8 skills though! Might give this a go!

I would agree with Looney, crack 'em open in Pre and see what you get! You're going to get more money for them there.
If you do get lucky and find something nice you want to sell make sure you use a trade moderator if you are trading it for post currencies. I've sold a couple of tonics in Pre for Post Ectos!
