currently wondering if the sword is actually pre-nerf - i've been told it is, but after reading a whole lot on the drop research threads, i can't see why this one specifically would be
depending on its age the sword could be pre-nerf, however none of its stats have been nerfed. it could drop like this today, thus it is not considered pre-nerf.
theres a weird rabbit-hole of the damage a weapon does when its requirement isnt met, and a difference between pre- and post-nerf with that, however thats usually not taken into account when people talk about pre-nerf.
effectively your sword is not pre-nerf.

yeah from my very distant memories, the chrysocola was either a bugged or legacy item considering that skin is from EotN which shouldn't be dropping OS items - wasn't 100% sure and i don't even really know how they got created in the first place, i'm just assuming it was a bug that's now been fixed?
afaik it has something to do with staves having the possibility of a creature slaying mod which can make them have no insc. its been fixed for martial weapons but staffs can still drop like that, although they are still an oddity.
this has been discussed elsewhere, but i cant find it right now. i think Red Fireball is more familiar with the topic -

chrysocola is a dungeon exclusive skin. so without insc it might be worth some ecto

What I'd like to see is the little things that were talked about years ago, finally being implemented. Things like updating the fire animations from the expansion, and adding them to the older games. The same with running water animations and textures.
i disagree, it would change the original look too much imo (especially after this long) even if it isnt consistent across all of GW.
I am waiting for Guild Wars Beyond NF (and EotN?) now though

lotus staves are available with most attributes, so you actually can get them easily.
There are other skins that you just can't get unless you unlock the pvp skin and transfer it to a bonus weapon.
a nice skin that immediately comes to mind for me is canthan short sword, which is only available as a green (law and order) that isn't even a sword.

Along with Dragon Festival, the year of idling lucky and unlucky titles has come to an end.
To conclude, I want to point out that Canthan New Year overlapped with an extra luck bonus week and the anniversary went on for 3 instead of the usual 2 weeks.
So overall this resulted in ~6 instead of the usual 4 weeks of idling progress, a factor of around 1.5x, which is quite significant. From that perspective it was a great 2025 already

i noticed that when i download Guild Wars that the download speed is maxing out my internet connection, when i last installed 2 years ago all i got was ~500kb/s (with the same internet connection)
has anybody else noticed a difference?

Maybe they read my post where I complained and said that every X amount of time, if the official store discounted everything, they'd sell more.
(And it's true that they'll sell more)my guess is that they have seen the numbers during the anniversary sale that they sell more

coinciding with steam sale again
In general, this is the case, I mean that publishers who offer discounts on their site or official platform, cascade down to global sales platforms like Steam automatically and in an automated manner. But! Often with a small percentage added for the platform.

im a bit surprised that the sale on the guild wars store is different now than before the anniversary.
it used to be all games 75% off and nothing else, now everything is 50% off including the microtransaction ingame stuff
