Hey, not played in years and trying to return, what happened to guildwarsguru? Why did it close? Did a quick search but it only brought up a countdown thread and not much else.

The host closed it down because it wasn't cost effective. They decided to try and cram it into a corner of the gw2guru instead.
So we started Legacy to give this community somewhere independent to live, where we can become more than guru ever was.
We even have the entire guru archive in a tab at the top so none of the knowledge is lost. It's a work in progress-we know it needs tidying up.

We all miss guru. It was the site which made Guildwars so great.
We managed to poach Cosifiep and Marty as mods here too so it's not all bad

Yeah curse shut guru down about a year or so ago, we had to decide where to go and Legacy was the closest we have come to the old guru, guru2 just, well, it is about as close to guru as gw2 is to gw.
