Anniversary weapons, in my opinion, were a great addition to the game. While most of them have only niche uses, others are actually quite good, allowing for some fun and unique builds to be created.
But I wonder why those weapons have such restrictions in order to be acquired?
While anniversary elite skills can be obtained anytime as long as one of your group members has the required item in their inventory, you can only get weapons during an event that appears once a year. Even then, you have quite a lot of conditions to loot the required item to buy them. On top of all this, they are also customized, so you can't even trade them with other players or between your characters.
I don't really understand this decision, I think it's a bit of a letdown for players who missed the event. Wasn't it possible to make the vendor and the currency tied to weapons available all year? Couldn't those weapons drop from the same bosses you have to kill to get anniversary elite skills?
I'm curious about your thoughts on that. Thanks for reading!
