Returning player, rare items

  • Hi all, returning player here really enjoying coming back :shy:.

I've played for about 3500 hrs but don't feel I've got a good grasp of end game. I'm going for GWAMM now, starting with LDoA after I read about the "new" vanguard quests, and I have a question I'd appreciate advice on.

I think I've got some expensive items in my storage, like an unded mini kuunavang & ceratadon and a r9 gold chaos axe. I can check & post screenshots to see if I'm understanding what these items are, but my question is, what should I do with them? I don't think I ever really realised they were expensive.

I don't care much for minis and tonics, is the main thing to sell them or to HoM them? I've got about 300 plat total so am not very rich, and I'm aware GWAMM can cost thousands.

    Cheers for any advice.

  • mostly people deal now with ectos and arms to get personal cons for gwamm.

so if you have couple of things you don't need anymore you can sell them for the kunna and ceratadon they worth good amount of arms but the chaos is not close to them in the end you can always make money in the game without selling items it is not hard to do that

if you want you can post picture of what you have to know how much is your wealth in the game only then find other ways to get money in the game

  • Welcome back! I guess it would depend on the speed of which you want to complete your GWAMM. Like Mutugw said above, you don't have to sell those things. It is possible to make money to get your GWAMM as you play, but selling one of those pets would definitely set you up real nice nowadays.

Those types of pets are only going up in value though, so if you feel like you'll miss them if you sell them then I personally wouldn't. I would just focus on doing the titles you can complete for free and work on making money that way or on the side to fund the rest of your GWAMM.

  • Welcome back!

In case you're not aware / no one has mentioned since you've returned, an easy revenue stream is farming if you're able to, or buying from Spamadan, or a mixture of the two, items to give to Nicholas the Traveler each week in return for five 'gifts' from him:

Nicholas the Traveler/Cycle - Guild Wars Wiki (GWW)

You can of course open these gifts yourself, or like lots of other players including myself, sell them for presently between 20 and 25e.

Between this and other things like eg opening chests if you're going to work on the vanq title should provide you with the resources to complete GWAMM.

Again in case you're not aware, this site captures trade chat in Kamadan and is searchable:

Returning players not aware of current prices have been sadly preyed upon, be on your toes and good luck :)

  • Excellent, thank you for the tip!

I've started getting them for the first time and was wondering would I be better to open them for sweet, party & alcohol points, or sell them and buy those points individually later?

Also, if I can ask please, do the price of them change week to week depending on how easy Nick's collector items are to farm?

    Thanks again!
