Need generic advice for farming

    Hello! As many, I started playing again due to reforged being available on Steam and thus being playable on Linux :)

    I played a lot until 2012ish, I have a gwamm and several other characters which are developed somewhat far (every class except derv and para).

    The kind of sad news, which bugs me a lot: my account was hacked when I stopped playing, I noticed to late and it could not be recovered. My fissure armor was lost, and all things valuable, so my current net worth is 0P exactly. They also salvaged the chest pieces of most of my other characters' elite armors. But no character was deleted.

    I want to farm up on everything of immediate need, and this is where I'd be happy to hear tips from you. My game knowledge has dwindled significantly. This is what I was thinking I need, in no particular order:

    • money: I started farming Nicholas gifts and I'd like to do solo farms with any of my characters; I found Péter Kádár on youtube, I think I can do farms he recommends
    • weapons for heroes and my characters and
    • weapon and armor insignias of all kinds to be able to make the builds I need; I should probably farm elona/eotn areas to salvage insignias?
    • all kind of materials: I should just salvage the items I find?
    • consumables: needed for all kinds of things, completely lost where to get and which ones are important
    • maybe skill scrolls? Nice to have but I think not really necessary (I think I have all skills unlocked)
    • I have a lot of anniversary gift vouchers, but I think anybody has, probably the pets are not worth much?

    Do you have recommendations or things I might also be in need of? Farm spots that might suit my needs, fun things to do etc. Anything helps :)

    I am also going to create a derv, as I saw it is good for solo farming.

    My long term goals are: get another fissure armor; do group speed runs (I loved uw speedruns). Be able to create builds for my characters from stashed resources.

    Back in the day I also loved to buy party items, sweets and alcohol and flip it on the german forum wartower for a really nice bargain, but I think this won't work anymore, as there are to few players.

    If you want fast money farm. Do Zaishen Combat Quest for HA. Or just farm it on doubled weeks (right now). Also JQ on double reward week is nice profitable (change imperial faction for balthazar and buy zaishen keys for it).
    Farm Zaishen quests on double reward weeks (for example do wanquishes on vanquish week, missions on mission week) on all you characters and sell silver coins.
    Weapons for heroes: If you dont want any cool skins and looking just for a function, use collectors weapons. Mainly Echovald and Kaineng collectors got rly nice usefull stuff. Check wiki for this. Another option are blessings of war. Many ppl opening the Zaishen chests for the title and got bunches of them, you can buy them rly cheap. Or I can give some, if you need.
    Armor insignias: They are rly cheap, you dont need to farm them, just buy them from a vendor. But if you want to farm, they drop from any blue/purple/gold armor remnants on all continets. Just kill humanoids or large beasts that eat humans :-).
    Materials, most of them are laso rly cheap. If you need a bunch of something, salvage Salvage items. Or use highly salvagable inscription for an inscribable weapon. If you not sure, what an item contain, check wiki.
    Conusumables: You can craft all of them at Embark Beach.
    Skill tomes: Elite are usefull for elite skills that are hard to cap, but cost 3e, so better to sell them for you. Regular tomes are usefull, because are cheaper than skills at skill traders. U can learn only skills that you got unlocked. You cant unlock skills by tomes.
    Minipets are mostly worhtles, tonics asswell with few exceptions. I returned a year ago (and left again lol), got 70 vouchers and sold only margonite tonic, all other minis and tonics ended in the trash can.
    Get rdy for farming sweets tomorrow :) (raptors farming still works well)

    a big question you should ask yourself is what do you want the money for, i recommend playing the campaign with all toons, that way you get some money, + you open all the farm spots

    if your heroes are completly unequipped, farming is a good option to get some money.

    weapons you can get at vasburg town, there is a weapon merchant that sells 40/40 sets relativly cheap. always good for heroes.

    Insignias and runes can be farmed by halkyon job with warrior or monk

    Thanks for your replies :) In the past two weeks I did almost all of what you suggested, I was just very overwhelmed at first. It did Zaishen Quests, pushed two characters further in the campaign and did solo farming. I did not do the raptors, but yesterday I did a lot of Vaettirs. It is crazy to me how much gold one can generate during the event, 250 Lunar Tokens sell for 35k+, which is around 1h of Vaettir farming. + ~8k in Gold Drops + sellable mods, so ~50k an hour.
    Also Nick seems crazy to me, 13k per gift for very little effort. It seems that there are a lot of rich people that can afford it.

    This week I'm gonna farm more Vattirs for free cash, I'm gonna use it to equip my heroes on several characters, this will be a 200k+. Then more campaign pushing :) I am really enjoying the game.
