Hey,
what do players use the ministerial commendations for, that justifies the high price of around 40e+ per stack? Panda pet?

Hello ![]()
I was wondering how much make sense to farm. I figured I need 5 for the Proof of Triumph (which I can share across characters) and then 5 for each character, so that everyone has the Anniversary weapon.
I think the decade weapons are not really worth it, as the 5% dmg increase a few times of the year does not justify carrying them around.
Also the blessings of war or not worth farming them for.
Are there case where one would need more than one anniversary weapon or are there other reasons to get more Proofs of Legend?
Thanks!
Yea I am aware, but I prefer a little bit of variety, I don't wanna play dagger spam on every char
And all in all, it does not matter as much if I do a little more or a little less damage then the esurge mesmers.
Yes, I think so. In the case of this build, a barrage ranger, that would mean it triggers all the time. But yes, that also is again in favor of +5cs.
Ive played a bit since with this build, and I quite like it. Crits trigger quite often, and it helps with energy management. The build shines when splinter weapon is applied and enemies are balled, not so much when the enemies are far apart. This is admittedly the way bigger factor then the crits
On average, I deal slightly less damage then the esurge mesmers.

Vampiric Flatbow of the Assassin or Vampiric Shortbow of the Assassin
Edit: I think it also would be better to change Never Rampage Alone and Charm Animal for Drunken Master, and add in Ebon Battle Standard of Honor (don't have that on my ranger yet). And change Triple Shot for a non pve skill. However Triple Shot is nice, due to procing the crit for energy gains and the vampiric bonus.
Maybe they'll also be available in the planned post version of the dungeon
Yes, that is true
I think in this case, a Barrage Ranger, it makes sense. SoH does not work on ranged attacks, so not viable in this case. A Barrage build has many free slots, so WotM and CE fit nicely. SoH is also given by the default SOS hero in the mesmerway builds.
Hello ![]()
I am looking for a build for my monk to play with the 7 hero mercenary mesmer way, NOT the anniversary edition (yet) with the +5sr, too expensive for now.
I was looking for damage builds, but I found none to my liking. I do not want to play dagger spam, I already have that on the assassin. I tried a Ray of Judgement build, but it seems rather clunky, not that much dps (except when enemies are balled very nicely) and easily interrupted. I have not tried the Judgement Strike build, but similar to dagger spam, I have a warrior to play warrior builds with.
I thought it would be better damage wise, if I use a fourth esurge mesmer and play a support role. I was thinking about the SOS rit, all others seem hard to swap into. I can still play a somewhat monk style, but I am not entirely sure. I came up with the following build. I'd be happy for input on the build - or also other playstyles, that fit into 7h-mmm.
Divine Favor 10+1+3, Protection Prayers 8+2, Channeling Magic 12. I switched Ancestors Rage for the Battle Standard, I think this does more damage, considering all the Mesmers. I actually did not find more PVE skills that fit in the build. Divine Boon could be swapped for Divine Healing for additional group heal. But honestly, considering how strong Mend Body and Sould and Spirit Light are, seems like a worse build overall.
This is the original hero SOS build:
I am looking forward to your inputs
And as a last note: this build would not fit into the 20th anniversary version of 7h-mmm, as there is no SOS. Maybe back to RoJ?
Edit: After thinking about it for a while, I think I'll go with a RoJ build, eliminating the SOS rit. The build has a somewhat higher focus on (group) healing, but is in general similar to the one linked on PvX.
Divine Favor 12+3+1, Smiting Prayers 11+2, Protection Prayers 6+1. The BiP is mandatory
, and I think I'll get a divine favor set with sr+5. I omitted Smite Hex, as four Mesmers have Shatter Hex.
Amazing bsoltan, thanks! If it is correct, than the question is answered. If the enemy is a warrior (or caster ~lvl28+), +5str is better than +5cs; However if the enemy is a caster, +5cs is stronger; and: if using Way of the Master (even without Critical Eye), +5cs is always stronger.
And CS also has the benefit of gaining 1 energy on every critical hit.
Amazon Of Melandru Not only the armor is reduced, but as Red Fireball pointed out, always the max damage is used for the damage calculation.
The wiki says this: `The exact formula is: [maximum damage] * 1.414`, however I am not sure if this is really linear and where the sqrt(2) comes from. Maybe it is valid for 60 armor?
edit: consider my previous post, as a better alternative to Critical Agility; I think we posted simultaneously ![]()
edit2: I agree this needs experimental testing
If your math is correct, than CS with Way of the Master would be the way to go. The calculation would change to `40 * 0.18 + 21.5 * 0.82`, which is 24.83 or even 26.1 in bursts using critical eye.
This would be especially feasible if using Barrage, as this allows many free skill slots.
Hello ![]()
This question also applies to all other non-primary warriors and assassins.
What gives the most dps for the bow, +5str or +5cs? Critical strikes also would have the advantage of the 1 energy gain on hitting a cs, but I'd like to focus just on dps.
This question is aimed at general PVE content, like vanquishing or hm missions.
Thanks and best regards ![]()
Edit: I think +5cs would also make Way of the Master viable, with an additional 13% crit chance or maybe even Critical Eye with +7% for 18s.

Hello ![]()
Question as the title says.
I plan do to everything in HM in EOTN, but I won't be spamming Dungeons. I thought as a Dervish I can probably grind Raptors for Asura and Vaettirs for Norn reputation points, and maybe I'll eventually do enough Dungeons for the Deldrimor title. So that leaves the Vanguard title.
Should I use my story points there to waste as little as possible? The goal is to max every title.
