The demise of Jade Quarry?

  • So I hadn't played in years, until a few months ago when I was happy to see that JQ was active, with a bunch of bots mixed in with players.

It was great fun being able to log in a catch what I'm sure some consider as pseudo-pvp.

Then one day, all the bots were gone,.. as well as the hope for any games there. With great diligence and a lot of boredom, you could still catch a game, but only when someone would log in all their storage accounts to stand around at spawn.

Yesterday after getting into a game, I was admonished afterwards. Seems the teams were 'taking turns' winning, just to farm the Imperial faction.

I tried RA too, only to spawn with a team brandishing vamp weapons and standing there dying slowly.

Anet, if you killed this out of concerns for a bot economy, consider running Anet bots just to keep JQ running.
