August 2005, got it for my 14th birthday.
From 05-10 I played very little else really, since 2010 I play in spurts. Might be a month where I play a lot and do a bunch of stuff, other times I just login to check toon ages and maybe do a zaishen mission and leave.

Returning after about 8 months, this time of the year is a good time for me to play a bit of Guild Wars in my free time.
Playing solo only goes so far haha
Been playing online games since I was a kid trying to frag out in Quake II.
Now, Guild Wars is my favourite online game ever and second favourite game of all time, but it is certainly not my only online gaming experience.
Back in my day Kago was the only user on GwG that had FoW on all six of his characters, across two accounts.
Back in my day, Xfire tracked the amount of hours we played.
God I loved XFire, my first experience with online forums as well.
Back in my day the character load out screen was around a campfire.
Wish we had the option to choose our character selection scene.
Back in my day, my warrior made a living running people from Ascalon to LA as well as Beacons to Droks.
Back in my day, The Last Pride were the reigning world champions.
Back in my day fire storm didn't make mobs split up, so i ran it on my warrior all the way to the ring of fire.

Here I am, a level 19 mesmer and died about 20 or so times xD
I've once again returned to playing Guild Wars, inspired by my best friend.
He got Guild Wars in late 2005, a couple of months after I did and recently he got the inspiration to start a new prophecies character.
I had a low level mesmer in Yak's Bend (one of the best soundtrack songs there is to listen to is there) and said "when you get there, I'll join you."
We aren't playing like we did in 2005, with 12 hour days or anything silly. We're in our late twenties now. However, when we get the chance maybe every other day or so we do a mission or two of the prophecies storyline.
It's been great.
How long will it last this time? Who knows. It has been fun though.
Personally, Prophecies is my favourite campaign.

Ah gwg, even during my years of not playing Gw i used to lurk on gwg.
I actually had two separate accounts as well, because I forgot my original login.
Man, I was so young back then that I used to spam the forums so much and others caught on and the mods knew but I was so oblivious to the concept of spam. Luckily, I was never punished or reprimanded in any way, but it's funny to look back on.
-Are you predominately a PvP or PvE player?
PvE for sure, I did a fair bit of PvP back in late 2005, early 2006 which was primarily GvG which was a lot of fun.
-Are you an altaholic? Multiple accounts?
Just the one account.
-What is your favorite game to play in?
Prophecies for sure, the first and in my opinion still the best game overall in Guild Wars. Plus with the addition of EotN, extra fun.
-Are you a META player or someone who prefers to mess around with builds?
I suppose mess around, though I've been running two MM necro's recently which has worked really well for me getting my skill hunter titles complete, no idea if it will work in HM area clears though.
-Do you start a new Prophecies character and go to post right away, or stay to reach 20 in pre to get the title? Do you keep a permanent pre character?
I do have a permanent pre character, which is a necromancer. However, I have not gone for lvl 20 with him so usually I'll kinda go post as soon as possible.
-Do you (or did you, lol) get a Droks run for better armor? Maybe you get a ferry to the docks in NF?
Not on any current characters. For example; my second warrior "Dargor Dragonsbane" is a prophecies only character who I treated like an old school, first time play through. Doing missions, not getting run anywhere etc. It gave the experience of playing this character a lot more fun and rewarding.
-Do you play through missions, or run through them as much as possible? Are you a speed clear player?
I do play through missions but I don't "run" them as much as possible. I do need to do Guardian for Elona and Cantha though on my main warrior.
I haven't done a speed clear, unless you mean simply an area clear in HM, in which case I have done that.
-Knowing you can safely party wipe in EotN dungeons, do you prefer the party wipe to res and play faster, or struggle to res one by one?
I don't really care but I used to always go for the "struggle" option.
-Do you prefer doing missions and dungeons with or without cons?
I've always done missions without cons, though I am not opposed to using them, I just never had any on my person to use. I haven't done any dungeons.
-Are you always looking for a large guild to join, or perhaps you prefer to go it alone? Do you prefer to play with people you know or random players you meet online?
I think the biggest, or one of the biggest, issues I faced when I briefly returned in late 2015, was that I was playing by myself. I did join a guild but they weren't very talkative and didn't really seem to participate with each other. Also, because my mate no longer plays Guild Wars (he is into #2 and rust) I didn't have anyone to play with. So joining the guild I am currently in and sharing in the alliance has been nice.

I did play the closed beta for GW2 as well and during that weekend I absolutely loved it.
