Red Fireball I've been doing a fair bit of drop research on Maz's chest in pre-searing to collect various types of data and to help achieve some collection goals.
One part of my drop research I'm very keen on determining is whether max q8 sword, shield, or focus is a possible drop from this chest.
I've narrowed my drop research down to the Lvl 12-13 scaled chest loot and Lvl 14-15 scaled chest loot as the best potential sources.- Each level scaled version of Maz's chest has fixed unid gv for the weapon/OH drops.
- Lvl 12-13 chest drops 20gv unid weapons/OHs.
- Lvl 14-15 chest drops 50gv unid weapons/OHs.
- I've gotten many non-max roll purple/gold q8's of all weapon/OH styles (mainly purple rarity) from Lvl 12-13 chest.
- I've only gotten two non-max purple q8 staves from Lvl 14-15 chest with just over 100 loots so far.
- The rest of the loot from Lvl 14-15 chest has been q9-13 purple/gold drops with majority (>90%) being max roll dmg/armor/energy.
Based on your knowledge and expertise with q8 drop research in post, do you think it's even possible for a max roll q8 sword/shield/focus to drop from Maz's chest in pre-searing? -
Although these various max rolls for q4/q5 are already recorded on the table, I just wanted to share that they're obtainable from Maz's chest in pre-searing. Still working on obtaining a q5 En+10 focus and q6 Ar+14 shield drop.
If you think this type of post is unnecessary for the thread then no worries I won't post it next time. -
Value will only go up for those, so unless you want to make quick money I would hold onto them.
I have seen prices for those that go up to 30 BD for each dye, but a Set of those prenerf dyes got sold about a year ago(before reforged and all) and it went for more than 2500a iirc. Give it a couple of years and they will be 100a+ each easily but it will take time.
Very interesting 😯 Is there a record of that dye set sale? (e.g., on forums or discord)

I know about a blue/yellow/orange one recently selling for 20BD each in pre. That's equivalent to 10a each in post.
