I dont get it
GuildwarsLEGACY has only ever been for gw1, the LEGACY gw game (as in oldest) never any gw2 even. Why would they start a gw3 site if they never even started one for gw2 because it's not the "legacy"
Legacy was created when Guru shut down. I was invited to be a part of the brainstorming group at the time, but I wasn't able to commit further at all. I'm starting to have more time available now, and I know I'll have much less free time in the future than I did before.I'm starting to have more time available now, and I know Iaerah will have much less free time in the future than he did before.
The GW3 announcement will have a direct impact on GW1 and its community, even if Legacy has no intention of adopting a GW3 version. There will still be things to manage, whether it's helping redirect confused or misinformed players, or dealing with the activity from returning players that I expect we'll see.
I think this is mainly an opportunity to rebuild on stronger foundations and improve Legacy's long-term sustainability. There may be more activity, but not necessarily better-quality activity. Perhaps it's time to build something that is easier to maintain from a moderation standpoint.
In short, there are a lot of questions to answer, and we'll need to start working on them.
Of course its just a begining of a reflexion.
