Canthan New Year 2nd Finale countdown

It is that time of year again

I expect everyone will be wanting to learn to sing for Wales in the 6 nations so here is the man himself (still here).

The Xunlai section has it's own rules which include

"When a thread has concluded you can mark it for closure by editing the thread to add "[Closed]" to the title. A moderator will close it as soon as they are able."

In addition, you can always DM me with a link to the thread and a request to close it and I will do it as soon as I can.

The CNY Finale will begin on 6th Feb at 12.01 am PST/08:01 amGMT (countdown here)

There are always more districts than are hosted and it is likely that situation will be worse this year as the returned players belatedly realise that free stuff and a fun atmosphere is available in Shing Jea every 3 hours.

For new/returned players please note that:

• Established guilds who are hosting districts will post in the party window. If you have the items to host a district please post so that hosters don't double up.
• Remember that the ONLY way for you to be certain you will be able to join a hosted district is to have all the items and host one yourself.
• IF you are hosting a district - remember to have ONLY 1 of each item in your inventory for each finale. Accidents happen and giving the chefs more than one of an item will not increase the rewards
• Do remember to thank the player/guild that hosts the district you are in.

The wiki has a page on CNY finale here

Bah Humbug!

I do not understand Anet saying they respect their long term players and then screwing them over again.

Yes, I am still salty that they took the title only about 100 of us bothered to get and made it thousand times easier with no recognition for those that did it the hard way.

Now they make changes but those of us who have been in Pre for 20 years arn't included!

What's the point of a game that is too easy or where your achievements are devalued regularly?

(I am very happy the original login screens)

Well I'm old member left 15 years ago have a decent build i can solo fow with two henchmen which sucks, boring but don't like to shout in chat in tried lfg doesn't work so just wait to see if anyone shouts out. So please any older timers think of us old shy people out there to shy to call out if anyone up for a run and shout out to us from 6pm to 6am loved this game 20 years ago came back I'm damn lonely.

welcome back

Have you considered joining an active guild?
A lot of established guilds are quite full atm but it is worth asking - see the recruitment section. Also some recruit in Kamadan (AE dis) or Embark but you do have to be bold enough to respond!

text - less intrusive and can be answered when convenient

Digital art or traditional art?

What Desera said

But also since you are doing carto this wiki link is very old but also extremely helpful when doing Carto

just love the jaunty way they sing 'oh the misery'

Thanks for the link - that was a nice run through of 25 years

Hey welcome back.

I am not a pvper so I cant offer much advice and expect you have already done the obvious ie check out the recruitment section for PvP guilds and since you are returning (welcome back) ensuring that you have the skills and equipment for the current meta builds.

In the Lgit Discord there is a section on PvP builds Discord: https://discord.com/invite/gw1 (you dont have to be a guild member to use the Disc).

That made me think of this one....

which afaIk still holds the record for the most weeks at no 1 in the UK charts

For a friendly, helpful guild consider the biggest guild in game for the last 14 years

Come and check out on the LGiT Discord: https://discord.com/invite/gw1 you don't have to be a member to benefit from our awesome game info.

All info in the OP

Hi, I think most people would say that you can do all the content with any profession and all have their place in end game content but mes may be easiest to get into speedruns with.

If you want to play through the campaigns as published, Proph then Factions then NF then EotN its a slightly different calculation than if you want to get heroes as soon as possible (as in PVX beginner team) and build up to a great hero team like Mesmerway.

Péter Kádár has videos on all professions including the new Which Profession/Class to Choose in Guild Wars Reforged? for New & Returning Players which may help you decide which class you would enjoy most.

I am sure more people with better knowledge than me will be along to offer advice soon.

I came back a year ago - finding GW has all I need (apart from minipet storage)

congratulations

used Marga again today - thanks
