Since the thread below got closed...could we incorporate a rating system for trades? There could be "business rules" set to determine how &when one user could "rate" another user, to prevent the misuse of it. (Somebody giving another all +1 or all -1 ratings due to favoritism/hatred).

Or if we didn't have to worry about that, then we could just trust each other to give ratings as we buy/sell from each other on our threads in trade forums. The thread itself can serve as a "legitimate source of proof" if the buyer/sell made the purchase after making their bids on the sale/buy thread. This could be designed so other members were able to view this rating and/or comments, and who gave them the review. Obviously it wouldn't have to be required, but all of the members who are concerned about buying from somebody who may be using an alt to fuel the bid war, could have a peace of mind if they saw that the seller has great ratings based on other's experience of buying from them.

I don't quite see the use of a "Scammer Black list" since this forum isn't as active in pre searing... because of the never ending questions: "What is a scam" and "how does one actually scam when both parties have to hit accept?" If you've made it to this site, then the odds are pretty good that you're not going to be somebody who "sells a q8 crystalline 15%stance for 1750ecto". Figured I'd use this memorable moment as my example xD

I'd agree with Pleikki regarding the q8 offhand that I'm interested in. If you posted for 25-75e I'd guarantee a lot of people would buy just to resell. I'd most likely value the item for more than what most people would offer, so I'd never sell in your position (Just thinking about how many chests I've ran to only get an occasional single mod q8 offhand, would make me feel like its worth way more)

But a range in the 100-200e range seems more accurate. Of course Bid-wars could make it see a lot higher...it just depends on how many collectors of these mod types there are tbh. Based on similar sale posts of q8 wands/offhands, there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity on the bids unless they are the favorable dual mods.

Somebody was buying the purple -50 runes for 300e. They're pretty hard sales, speaking from experience. I felt that the 300e offers for my purple prenerfs were acceptable though. I got quite a bit higher for my blue text small image major vigor and blue text small image sup absorp.

Agree with above...Though, with bladed shields I'd never sell too fast. A lot of people seem to really like collecting these skins, especially the perfect dual mods.

I remember commenting on this thread months ago, and I gotta say... I'm kind of amazed that you guys have kept it active haha.

Who all was really affected by this transaction, again? Are the original seller/buyer even commenting on this thread, or are all the collectors just bashing each other now for no point?

Bumpity Bump, as edited in comment above, the R/B on the Gothic Axe has been hit. Approximately 24hours left until it is taken off auction and sold to Sonya (forget when exactly I sent the 48hr notice lol)

I agree with Hrwakka, although I'm definitely not as familiar with the market on White q7's by the sounds of it.

I'd imagine that there would be less white q7's available today, than there are purple or gold q7's out there. Although I can't say this for sure, I feel like there would be less likely hood of somebody keeping a plain white q7 from back in the day, than they would if it were purple or gold. This alone, probably helps drive the price up.

But as everybody else has mentioned, if you've a PreNerf item, never sell it to the merchant. This forum is essentially a hub for all the guild wars collectors out there; somebody will definitely pay at least an armbrace, if not more, for most prenerf items regardless of what it is.

Ive gotten offers of higher than 200a+ for my q7 -2/-2 round shield, and I would value all of these shields at a much(emphasis on the much) higher price based on their rarity.
