The insc Ghostly's that are not primary attributes (or Inspiration) are in my experience very rare. I was actively looking for those at one time (2010-11 maybe), and only ever came across a few. I still have a q9 insc Blood Magic Ghostly, and also vaguely remember buying Death Magic and Fire. I can't find those last two though, so either my memory is faulty or I resold them.

I also vaguely remember a discussion on Guru regarding which attributes drop as insc. If I remember correctly, it was thought at the time that all attributes were not available, though that idea might have sprung up from how rare they are. Have you actually seen all attributes, or are you still looking for some?

Unded Vizu - checked Kamadan chat, and the wts seems to be around 450-550e. As usual though, who knows if they're actually being sold at this price. Any ideas?

q9 15^50 Katana. Canthan of course, not insc garbage. These used to go for around 12-15e back in the day, and I would have assumed that they would've stayed stable or even dropped with all the Cantha botting and farming going on. But the sellers in Kamadan seem to be asking that much even for the insc version.

Also q9 15^50 Broadsword, Canthan as above. Saw a seller asking 90e, which is ludicrous. Or am I just out of touch with the current insane economy? :p

Time for a bump. I'll likely start vendoring some of the inscribable and q10+ stuff at some point, so if there's anything you need for heroes or whatever, now's the time.

So are q9 +5en Shinobi's actually *selling* for 500e+? I've seen a couple priced like that, but no buyers.

And man, it's such a shame that all the botting and RMT's have hosed the economy so much. Those insc skins you mention are around 7-10x more expensive than they were when I played last. Supply and demand has nothing to do with it.

Hey folks. I'm sure I've traded with a good chunk of the people still around from the original Guru days even if we've never played together, though I do recall some Mausoleum runs with some of the regulars. Others might remember me from Urgoz/Deep runs with Lynette Le Sange.

I just discovered this site after picking up the game again, and it seems like a much better replacement for Guru than what they have over there now. And man, the loss of the old Guru makes me incredibly sad. In many ways, Guru was the heart of the GW community - for me anyway. There's definitely something to be said for a game without an auction house. Trading becomes a social exercise in addition to an economic one, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who had friendships that were a result of Guru trading.

Anyway, it's good to be back playing the game again.

I already posted this on what's left of Guru, but no replies. So hopefully here it will get some action.

Anyway, I've been away from the game since 2011-12 ish, and was wondering about the current state of the economy. Even as a former Price Check Guru, I find it a bit difficult to get a handle on. Prices for a lot of stuff seem to have gone in the toilet, which is understandable given the declining population. However, other things seem to be about the same - mainly armbraces and ecto, and high-end OS stuff.

So here's where the PC comes in. I'm making some assumptions based on the Buy and Sell threads I've looked through. Opinions would be great.

q9 15^50 OS melee weapons - even formerly in-demand Canthan skins like Katana, Jitte, Shinobi or Dragon Kamas - seem to have dropped a lot?

q9 +5en OS melee weapons have gone up in value? For instance, there's a post in the PC forum here on Legacy estimating a q9 +5en Shinobi @ 500e. Am I in the twilight zone? :p

q9 OS staves seem all over the place. 20/20 versions of core skins have always been common, so it's no surprise that the demand for those is low. But I've also seen the double dragon Jeweled Staff q9 20/20 going for 50e+. When I last played, those were around 12-15e or so. What the hell? And I'm assuming that Canthan staves have mostly stayed around the same price-wise?

The OS version of the Icy Dragon sword seems to have gone through the roof. They used to be less than 100k iirc, but are now much more. Is that correct?

What's the current state of inscribable weapons? Is there anything that sells (other than BDS) or is it all vendor/salvage trash?

Are there any birthday minis or tonics that are worth anything, or are they all less than 40k? What about stuff like EL Kuuna that were formerly in high demand?

And lastly, what's driving the demand for ecto and arms? Surely most people that wanted or needed Tormented weapons and Obsidian armor for the HoM got them ages ago.

Here's mine. Given to me by Licensed Luny a few weeks after the Mausoleum glitch happened. Along with a handful of other Guru regulars, we managed to get in a bunch of runs to Majesty's Rest before ANet "fixed" it. Most of the drops were junk, but she was lucky enough to get this bad boy, and passed it on to me for my Derv. Were it not customised, I'm sure it'd be worth more than a few ecto, but it's one of those things that I would never dream of selling even if I could.
