  • Guild Wars Update June 12, 2019

    I was wondering what was causing the game start Issues Ive been having the past few days... Apparently it was this patch.

    If I started the game my PC would just calculate for a few seconds and then default back to waiting for input. Every time I would try to start again, windows would inform me that the game was already running (no window opened). To fix this I manually stopped GW.exe in the Task manager and started the game again normally which would work. Maybe this is could help you (although I wasn't getting the message couldn't create folder).

  • Any tips on skill hunting?

    The absolutely best took I had back in the day for the skill hunter title was a program called "Mapping out"

    It has offline maps of all 4 campaigns (including notes on missions) with map pins for each elite with wiki links to each skill and filters you can use for your character to remove already known skills from the list.

    That makes planning skill hunts easy as you can look for areas with the most skills you need and filter out if there are 3 skills you can cap during one Vanquish (3 being the maximum number of skills you can cap in one run). You work on your VQ title at the same time as you are Capping in the most efficient way possible.

    Edit: The other thing I did for skill hunting was to buy the exact number of capture signets I needed for every skill as soon as it was possible (ie when I had enough amount of Skill points and platinum for the skill trainers) . That way you wont end up with useless Cap signets at the end of your title and don't have to worry about buying signets later.

    Thanks for the reminder Chevy.

    Gott2022: Just to give you an indication of what is meant by uncommon mods because they get merched. Ive been looking for a specific shield attribute combination since about 8 years now and have only found 2 in all this time, one of them being purple... you had better forget about wanting to look for a specific attribute of Strength or Tactics, requirement or even specific skins if you want one like that.

  • Price Check Max Q9 Dual Mod

    I don't see the Strength attribute as being a problem. Most casters want these shields for the -2 damage while X and the random +1 to an attribute. The +8AR (half armour if you don't meet the requirements is a welcome bonus). They wont want to spec many attribute points into Tactics to reach 9 anyway.

    I agree with around 50e. maybe a little lower, as Water magic isn't as sought after as Curses, Death or Domination.

    Question is, how can this be defined in order to stay accurate enough to rely on it. Do we need to canvass people who are involved in the game/trades on a regular basis? Ecto:Platinum isn't too bad because you could just take the mean between Trader Buy & Sell, but the others are harder to define.

    Sadly no API for GW so it all has to be done manually too.

    The thing about the 3 variants listed, Ecto : Armbrace and Ecto : Zkey are player driven trade prices depending on who much players are willing to buy these from before someoen else purchases them before you.

    The Platinum : Ecto trade price however is directed by the Rare Mats NPC trader prices by averaging the buy and sell offers and translate that to hpw many Ectos can you sell/buy from players for that average.

  • What would you like from Legacy?

    One very small thing Id like to see would be an addition to the "Armbraces to ecto" rate display on the forum overview page to include the Ecto/Zkeys exchange rate.

    Over the years Zkeys seem to have transitioned from Chest title opening items to a completely parallel payment method for mid to high end trades.
