Some shields cant drop q8 tho and are still prenerf, and also demon mods only happen in cantha, so all OS skins cant be demon modded.
Echovald and q9 outcast def possible, i sold q9 tac 10demon/2we outcast few months back for like 200a.
Q8 demon shields have sold, but not on those skins afaik

Old school shields cannot be modified. The +10vsDemon would be considered an old school shield as you cannot get that modifier as an inscription. So yes, that would have to be dual modded from the beginning.
Mods are set permanently on shields if they are old school.
Yes for swords, the "insc" part is a set modifier, but you can add an hilt/pommel.
I am unsure if they have been sold in Q8s. Probably, but I haven't seen one recently. I'm sure someone else could let you know.
Your "dream shield" would be considered OS, not prenerf.
Yes, it would be considered OS since you cannot modify the insc and also because it is a factions skin.
Q8 shields can still be dropped, so they would not be considered prenerf. You can check that chart I linked in the first sentence to see what still drops as Q8 maxed.

Hey y'all! I Haven't played much in the past ~5-ish years, but I', looking forward on buying a OS Shield and a few questions about OS weapons sparked my mind.
My goal shield is a classic DoA Shield, q9 (or less) tac +45wE -2wE or maybe +10vsDemons.
I'm mostly looking for a Echovald, eventually Outcast or something else..
What do I need to know?
It has to be dual mod right? I can't add either mod afterwards?
Mods are set permanently, is that correct?
I'm a little confused since for swords (if I remember correctly) only the "inscr."-part (e.g. 15^50) is set and you can modifiy the handle for example, is that correct..?
Has either of these ever been sold in q8? Perfectly modded (just curious).
Is the beforementioned "dream shield" considered OS, Prenerf, anything else?
I assume its OS, cuz "no inscr. and factions only skins"?
Prenerf would be q8, or "fancy" mods like 15% more dmg while nothing, right?
Side question:
Which max value/armour weapons can still drop in q8? -

Fair point, at this point everything is possible - even tho "reducing the req" of max weapons to q8 would be kinda crazy (i know they still drop, but generally speaking)

Last q8 15^50 sold was for 1650a on here afaik, if you plan on selling yours definitely do an auction. I’d be interested 👀

Because q8 axes cannot be added to the drop table and they added os gold items that cannot be dropped since ages recently.
It will increase the value of those q8 prenerfs
I never really payed too much attention to OS items for the most part..

"the 20/20"? youmean a sundering modded one? that does not affect price at all. the mod can be changed and costs 1e or less. what makes it valueable is q8 max damage, skin and the perfect inherent (unchangeable) 15^50 mod.
There was a max dmg sundering q8 chaos axe that was sold on legacy in April 2026.
