Many of the advantages that Toolbox gives can be mitigated on the server side, rendering the tool less useful.

Dialog doesn't let you skip all quests. The majority can't be skipped, and those that do are mostly in Cantha. The Gate NPCs mostly check if the player completed the previous mission, not the previous quest.

The slightly larger map range that Toolbox gives could also be mitigated on the server side, by not giving the client information about spawn until they're actually within the normal radar.

Open chests on distance? Yes, I'm sure an additional constraint could be added that the player actually have to be within X distance.

/chest: Either they could add that command into the game, or put a similar constraint that you have to be within X distance to be able to access the Xunlai Chest.

There are more features in ToolBox that I'm not so sure about how they could be affected.

Personally I hope they inspire a but from the good options from ToolBox rather than block them. By adding similar features ingame, there's less incentive to use a thirdparty program.

As a casual PvE player, I might pitch in a reason why I never really got into PvP. Vizu and Breeze are right on point, it's way too serious.

It's very tough on casual players, which means mostly the elitists stay around killing other elitists. And when they drop out, there won't be much players left. As soon as casual players drop by they will be utterly destroyed.

Edit: Constructive critisism. So what could be done about it? I really don't know. Maybe some more casual PvP areas that the elitists are not interested in, a place where casuals get to fight casuals? Similar to arenas with a max level, there could be some lvl 20 arenas with a limit on Champion/Gladiator titles?
As I never got into PvP seriously, I can't say if that would even work.

It's been a while since I made any builds. But I'd start with the 4/4 mesmer at full offense/shutdown, then swap in just as many selfheals as needed. Then go for 8/8 by adding 4 full offense/shutdown mesmers.

I'd probably put Technobabble on the player mesmer and call it on enemy healer. AoE daze followed by massive offense.

Psychic Instability on a Dazed healer sounds very tempting, assuming that the PI will trigger before Dazed (I have no idea). Otherwise it would be a foolproof way of Dazing, massive KD since healer would want to.. heal.

Edit: Tested to bring nothing but Technobabble and Psychic Instability. Used TB on Master of Healing, which was KD by PI for 5 seconds. I think that combo could be abused easily. 5 seconds is a long time to do serious AoE for fast casting mesmers. Sadly that won't work well with skills that rely on active skill usage.

There is a line on what's considered cheating. Some features certainly borderline, but consider for example

    /tp doa

Would that be considered cheating in your book that you can get directly to DoA without having to pass by Kamadan and a bunch of other maps in between. (DoA unlocked of course).

Surely you can admit that not all features are cheating. And by making Toolbox TOS compliant, it would certainly mean removing the ones you do consider cheating.

By skipping gates, you can get directly from Kainrng City to Boreas. That mission have to be done. After that you can get into Cavalon the backdoor without skipping gates. So level 1 is possible.

For Elite Luxon, you also need Gyala. Gate can be skipped so 2k total xp from Kaineng.

There are some features from GWToolbox that are quite useful and not really game breaking. I hope that StephenCW and Bill might find some time to implement some of it ingame:

    * /chest - Incredible useful to open up chest at anytime. Normal restrictions should apply. If you haven't unlocked your storage or in a map without a Xunlai Chest, it should do nothing. GWTB does this, but also currently let you access gold in your storage, which gives an unfair advantage to all new players lacking 50g.

    * /tp mapname - It lets you map travel without having to go through boat travel. Usual restrictions apply, can't tp to a map you haven't unlocked. Technically even save server resources, don't have to instantiate empty districts like LA only to map elsewhere directly after.

    * /transmo <targeted NPC> - Because it adds a bit of fun to an aging game when you can disguise as any targeted NPC. Others won't see this. GWTB currently allows this, giving unfair advantage to players making youtube/Twitch videos, just because they can look like a giant Xunlai Chest, perhaps even a sign post.

Hello everybody. I was wondering something.
Lexx, do you know when and how you will roll your dice ? To pick the winners.
Will it be in game ? Just like it used to be in the glorious Guild Wars years ? A big party in LA ?
Or will you just tell us here who are the chosen ones. :P
    Thanks for your answer.

Since it's not possible to /roll in an outpost, it has to be done in an explorable. I will invite people to join me, reserving space for Emma or any other trade mod who wants to join. They'll be my witnesses I'll be running an unbiased game :)

I'll also see if I can record the session, or at least take some screenshots.

I think it's only part of the 100k character limit,

and mainly because of the 1000k xunlai limit.

People will have eventually filled up that amount and might not even have space for plat.

You could encourage StephenCW to increase the trade limit to 1000k and the Xunlai limit to say 10000k.

It might be doable and would reduce the need to trade with pseudo-currencies.

    What's more cruel?

Tell a girl made up statistics there's at least 2 hidden spiders in every bedroom

    or

Lie that a news article on guildwars2.com stating that GuildWars will shut down in 3 months.

    Bump

    PUPU is still recruiting :)

    Greetings everyone,

Old GW player here, with the graphic update thinking in coming after several years.

Probably more of a casual gaming, start everything from scratch, enjoy the story again, it's gonna be fun for the memories.

Either way is there a spot to get in the guild? I'm from EU, what you guys need for the invitation? a name for a character? or it has to be the one i want?

    Cheers

Welcome back to GW, the game that started it all!

You're most welcome to join us in PUPU, we have room for you. At the small small price of your ingame name ;)

Assuming most cats are much more picky what they eat and dogs just gulp down whatever, I'd pick catfood. It's more likely manufacturers have to put more effort into pleasing a cat's taste buds.

    Round shapes, or square shapes?
