Any last minute bids?
I'm about to close these auctions.
Spiked Axe and Aureate Daggers going once, going twice.... -
Sorry, kinda busy. I'll let it run for another weak.
Bump!
Did the afk survivor farm and it worked out like a charm. Wiped a few times in HM. Did it in NM, just took a little bit longer. But I’m sleeping anyway so idc, haha.
Dunno if I wanna work on GWAMM‘ing my main just for the fun of it or if I’m tackling the Wind of Change content.
I think the challenge sound so good and interesting. And getting a 2nd Ritu is so worth it. Not to mention some nice cool and very unique greens. (The parrying dagger, bo staff scythe, caster sword)
Thank you so much for the great answer!
So the core profession get a ton of variety and choices while the other 4 professions get the short end of the stick.
Anyway, I think that’s cool for the core profs. Although it’s quite pricey when not one sale.
Thank you again, mate.
Cheers
Has anyone an answer to OP‘s question?
Can you only change, for example, hairstyles for a Prophecies character into other prophecies hairstyles of the same profession? Or do you have access to all styles across all the campaigns?
And do you only get access to all Necro hairstyles from all three campaigns, or even hairstyles outside of your own profession?
Sorry if I necro‘d an old thread, but I can’t find anything in the forum/web.
Bump up the jam, bump it up.
Having a good time learning dervish.
Got the hang of VoS farming and I kinda like it. Although the timings are difficult-ish. Squeezing grenths aura between two VoS is finicky. Damn Mindsquall is a good teacher.
But I do have a good time and good luck farming 40/40 sets. So far I got 7 40/40 sets and counting.
But I still have trouble with dervish running. It seems like my SF runs out at the perfect time and I get mass-hexed-stunlocked-crippled-insta-gibbed and RIP.
Hey, thank you for the answer/ your input. Really appreciated.
As for the rules: I didn't have any problems finding them, nor was there a problem with the understanding. Everything is perfectly clear and concise. Also, I do understand the need for spam protection measures requirements like post count, account age, verification. With a great influx of players and all, well, that's just a given.
We do the same over on the Presearing Discord and it's just better that way. But when I compare both "auction-systems", I do notice some differences I don't really understand tbh. So here are some observations or suggestions, if you will:
1)
Closing of posts: What I absolutely do find confusing on gwlegacy is the way auctions/sales are done. The threads are absolutely overcrowded, unreadable, and a headache to understand. People bid on old threads that have been edited 100ed of times. Changed titles, pictures, everything. You gotta click through 10s of pages to find the actual, current auction and the actual current offer. And even then: It's not 100% sure if you find the right price/current offer at all. Some people edit their threads to reflect current offers, some don't. So people just bid whatever they feel like, even though it's not the correct amount/lower than the actual current offer.
I've heard the problem lies within the system of closing posts. User need to mark their posts as closed which mods have to close for them afterwards. More often than not mods don't close post right away (which is understandable; life happens). So old, closed posts get lost, never closed, which in turn prevents users from creating new posts due to established rules. Bumping old, closed posts is tedious and no guarentee it will get seen and closed by mods. Bumping them too often will get u penalized. Therefore users just resort to recycling year old threads to fulfill their needs. I think this could be done better. Either let users close their posts on their own or relax the 1-post-policy a little bit. For comparison: on discord users are allowed to create three auctions max, as many sell-threads, as they need; and they are able to close their own posts at their own discretion - this leads to a really tidy and clear forum.
2)
Answering questions that are not bumps
As per the rules, every post in your own thread in less than 24h is considered a bump and will be penalized. I understand the rule. It's so people don't use excuses to bump their threads mercilessly. It would be unfair for everyone who is following the rules. Therefore this rule is in place. But this policy leads to a problems. E.g. a fellow gamer got a warning for answering a simple question in one of their threads. Maybe the answer to that question is of interest for all people. But since you can't post on your own thread within the 24h time window because its considered a bump, he needs to answer via PM. This just feels wrong and scares people away from being more open.
I think the rule could be relaxed a little bit. And just food for thought: If someone asked a question, isn't the thread bumped anyway? And if the question comes from a alt account to circumvent the 24h window; wouldn't the post be bumped anyway?
3)
Structure of auctions
On Presearing the auctions follow simple rules. You gotta have a starting bid, you could have reserve bids, you could have buy-outs. End times are important. Everything is at the sellers discretion, but posts need to at least contain S/B's. On legacy people just post a single picture and you know nothing about the intent: Is it for sale? Does he want charr carvings or arms? When does the auction end? Does it end anyway? Together with 1) it just confused the heck out of me and I've already considered creating excel spreadsheets just to understand a single auction.
I hope this can be helpful as it's the insight of a new user on the forum. I don't mean to criticize - this forum and the work y'all been doing is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Finally, after 18 years, I bought EotN and finished it!
Really had a blast doing the quests.
Best part is the Norn story line. Olaf, sevenfold son of Olaf, are you up to a hunt? Lmao
Enjoyed the challenge fighting the destroyers.
Hey, I'd like to auction these two beauties:
Spiked Axe:
C/O (current offer): 201a (on legacy)
S/B (starting bid): 50a
R/B (reserve bid): met
B/O (buy out): NONE/TBA
Increments: now 10a
End: TBA - at least until 13. July
Aureate Daggers:
C/O (current offer): 275a (on Presearing Discord)
S/B (starting bid): 50a
R/B (reserve bid): met
B/O (buy out): NONE/TBA
Increments: now 10a
End: TBA - at least until 13. July
Thank you for the link and the help. Really appreciated.
Farmed some Totem Axes for nostalgia reasons.
Seeing that green is a dopamine hit, haha.
Hey, do you still have a Judgment available?
Did the HA Zaishen combat farm for the first time today. Farmed 4 zcoins, over 100 fame, hit a new PvP rank and had a great feeling of nostalgia.
Oh and I’ve opened my first zchest.
Haven’t played in like 15 years and never really played derv. Maybe I’m not used to the playstyle.
Are there any resources to learn how to run? I finally got my Dervish ready with all skills, but it’s still kinda funky.
I did a lot of Droks runs back in Proph, the route is still in my head. But running it as a dervish just feels… wrong?
I don’t know how to describe it. lol.
Well, I did find that post easily and read it. Tbh, it’s still a little bit confusing, but that’s just because I haven’t been to any forum for like 20 years, haha.
I guess it takes some time to getting used to it, that‘s all.
(And yes, I’m just posting for the count, lol)
