Kaineng City is the worst! I still get lost there!

The poster above me is quiet as a mouse.
-
Of course, it could be annoying for someone who mostly uses the keyboard instead of the mouse as other keys may get held down unintentionally. So it's more useful for a point and click style of gameplay.
Gotcha! I'll have a look at those sticky keys and see whether it will work for my playstyle!

Tl;dr stick spam/needed skills in easiest for you spots
You're making this G600 sound more and more appealing. I need to invest in a second monitor before I go buy a new mouse though I think!
-
At worst, if you get one, you will be able to use 1-9 for skills/whatever and there is the option for the 3rd mouse button (or w/e you set) to be like a 'mouse shift' so 'ms + other mouse button' = moar possible combos.
Thanks for the info Looney! It does sound very appealing and if I can assign those keys to my skillbar it might make things alot easier!
When playing in areas that I want to open chests, I enable StickyKeys in Windows Control Panel Accessibility Options and double-tap the Alt key so it will stay held down making the chests visible as soon as they're in range. Only minor annoyance is I have to remember to tap Alt before chatting so Enter doesn't make it switch to windowed mode.
This is very useful! I've always wondered an easier way to have chests visible! Thanks!

The poster above me is being moderate when referring to the recent outbreak of moderating.
-
All this talk of G600 is making me want one! I'd like to get my hands on one and see how comfortable it is before a drop the cash though!
cosyfiep like you said originally, whats most comfortable for you! Clicking reminds me of the Runescape days...
-
The poster above me has been moderating things lately.

mouse is logitech g600 (used to use razor naga, logi has more buttons)
1-8 mouse thumb buttons for skills, 9-12 is weapon sets, sometimes 9 is other things if I only use 3 weapon sets on the character
one button on top of mouse is 'r' to run
I've used an old Logitech gaming mouse for a while but it only has the forward and backward buttons for your thumb, how do you find the thumb buttons? Are they easy to use or is it a bit tricky to get use to?
-
I would say do what is most comfortable for you.
Yeah I totally agree, that's what I've been doing for a long time. Just intrigued on how others prefer!
I use both hands to type what I want to buy or sell or both. Then I usually use my right hand to hit enter...but when things really get crazy in kamadan there's no telling what I might use to hit enter. And don't get me started on the up arrow...
This is really interesting and useful Kabong. I may try your pressing enter technique. How many keyboards do you go through a week?

Hello,
I'm interested in knowing how you play, more specifically how you monk! I'm particularly interested in the physical format, do you click your skill icons? Do you click your team mates? Do you click to move? Etc...
I've seen a couple of videos recently that have made me question if I could improve my technique.
I mainly play PvE with heroes. I use WASD to move with Q as cycle weapon sets. I then manually select my target ally from the Party Window, using 1-5 number keys above WASD to trigger the corresponding first five skills. Skills 6-8 I use less frequently and will usually click these as it's a bit of a stretch to press them on the keyboard!
So, how do you do it? Have I been doing it wrong all this time?! If we want to get really carried away we could talk interface set up too!

Everyone seems to be throwing in their 10 cents so I figured I best join in.
Of course I'd like to see new content for GW1. I've played this game since Prophecies and still not finished everything. New content is always exciting and refreshing, who wouldn't want that? Whether it's feasible is a completely different matter. I think everyone's weighed in enough on that so I'll leave it be.
Good luck in this endeavour!

The poster above me has figured me out. (It's both!)

IIRC, you need a max level character in order to access and play through the EotN content.
See my above comment;
I've just had a quick look on the wiki for you;
Access to Guild Wars Eye of the North is via quests that can be received by characters level 10 or higher from:
People often use EotN as a way to gain access to max armour early as you can buy this in Boreal Station.
I believe you're correct regarding the download in the background though! Hopefully Tiger Song can shed some light on the situation when she reaches a point where she can access the quests! -
The poster above me has many fury friends (they are all plush toys).

I've just had a quick look on the wiki for you;
Access to Guild Wars Eye of the North is via quests that can be received by characters level 10 or higher from:
- Len Caldoron in Lion's Arch
- Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon in Kaineng Center
- Bendah in Kamadan
I understand your concerns regarding download, it's been such a long time since I added EotN to my account that I can't remember what happened when I did it sorry. I would guess that you may just download the files when accessing the new area (loading screen). Stick to it and hopefully you'll be able to pick up one of those quests soon! I've linked them below;
What Lies Beneath - Len Caldoron - Lion's Arch
I Feel The Earth Move Under Cantha's Feet - Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon - Kaineng Center
Hole of Istan - Bendah - Kamadan
Haha, Guild Wars can be a great stress relief and escape! Keep playing! Keep having fun!
If you need any help feel free to add me in game, I'm not online often but if you do see me feel free to send me a whisper!IGN - Ddraeg Gwella

Haha, yeah maybe you're right!
On the topic of Ebon Vanguard Skills...Cyclops from X-Men?
-
I had a severe craving to attempt to collect those pins recently. I think it would be a long shot to gather them all, maybe one day.
Either way this video just reminded me of the strength and dedication the GW1 community has. I think we have Kevin and all the other founders/mods of Legacy to thank for this, so..... Thanks! -
Hello,
Your previous post has got me thinking.... Are you expecting to see EotN as an option for Character creation? This wont happen, it's an expansion of the previous campaigns. I'm not entirely sure how this is added to the account but you should now be able to gain access to the areas that are devoted to EotN. I believe there will be a quest in some of the main cities (LA, Kaieng, Kama) which should let you access another area beneath the cities which should lead you to EotN. Other more knowledgeable players will be able to clarify this further.

The Poster above me likes doggies, specifically "fiberian hufkies".

I don't use a Mac so I shall remain clueless! Thanks for the input though Mastinoo, hopefully we've (you've) helped!
-
Something that people use to do when I was at university was to split their Mac hard drives and run another OS on it. Not sure if this is plausible, possible or how the hell you do it though sorry!

Another player freed from the confines of Shing Jea!
-
Peter, that's gross, but you are correct.
I've been looking at the Ebon Vanguard Title Skill, Rebel Yell and thinking it should maybe renamed to Emo Scream? -
-
Hey,
I just got Baglorag's Maul, hit me up in game.

I used a Serrated Spear for a long time as a caster weapon, until I could afford a Voltaic. I think I'll go back to Serrated now!
Eternal Shield or Tormented Shield? -
Poison Ivy.
All your clothes are now;
Beige
Or
Pink

Give 'em away. Although most of mine just get binned.
Go to work or go to school?

Ddraeg's Unreliable, Infrequent SpeedBooking
I'm offering unreliable, infrequent Speedbooking for free. I only have one EotN reputation Title left to max and I am speedbooking to achieve this. I am more than happy to bring along anyone else as I only need 3 heroes to achieve two of the missions and the other is fairly straightforward so we should be able to work something out!
Some things to note:- I pick up 10 books at a time and run the same mission 10 times in a row before moving onto the next one.
- I am by no means an expert on these runs and some may result in failure.
- I am not running these consistently or repeatedly, I may do only a couple runs at a time.
- I am GMT based but my playtime is extremely limited hence why I am speedbooking and only playing in short bursts.
- Due to the way I am doing this you will not be able to AFK as you will need to swap the first book in your inventory each time a mission is run.
Hopefully I've managed to make it clear what I'm offering here and people might be interested in tagging along. I think the best way for this to be done would be to add me in game and send me a message if I pop up online and see whether I am running any books at that time.

Laters!

The poster above me doesn't realise I'm a calm and peaceful Monk, not an Asuran that's angry about being short!
-
The poster above me is quite clearly a party planner.
-
-
The poster above me is most likely not Asuran.
-
The posters above me seems to have quite radical views on the superior race within Guild Wars. (Is this aloud in the forums?!)

I'll just go Marvel despite not being particularly interested in comics.
Clothes made from fruit or clothes made from meat? -
FoW Paraway with the [pupu] alliance
I watched Peter's video on this. Looked like a laugh.
