  2. Infinite Identification and Salvage Kit Bundle (9.99 USD)

Today, a huge balance update went live for the game - the list of changes can be found on the wiki.

However, this update also introduces a few new items to the Guild Wars Store that merit some explanation and information about how these work - so let's get to it.

Merchant Summoning Item - Purveyor's Bell (6.99 USD)

The Purveyor's Bell is in essence a permanent mercantile summoning stone that does not fight. There's a few more things to it, but it is an item that when activated (in explorable zones) will spawn the Purveyor which is a merchant NPC that sells every key (and lockpicks) in the game - however, no other items (so there are no salvage kits, for example). You can trade him any item.

Upon purchasing this, you will also receive a Reforged Coin daily when interacting with the Purveyor (who you can find next to the Shrine to Godly Accoutrements).

Reforged Coins

A Reforged Coin is an item that gets placed in your inventory - the only way to currently get them is from interacting daily with The Purveyor in one one the locations next to the Shrines. Other ways might be added in the future.

The only merchant that takes them is The Purveyor itself, by using the "Exchange Reforged Coin" option.

At this moment, there are 2 items available for purchase, in 3 options;

  • 10 x Empowering Feasts
  • 10 x Heroes' Trifectas
  • 5 x Empowering Feasts and 5 x Heroes's Trifectas

These items are NOT tradeable to other players.

Empowering Feasts

Empowering Feasts instantly activate these boosts for 30 minutes on your character only:

  • Birthday Cupcake (+100 HP, + 10 energy, 25% increased movement speed)
  • Candy Apple (+100 HP, + 10 energy)
  • Golden Egg (+ 1 to all attributes)
  • Candy Corn (+ 1 to all attributes)
  • Slice of Pumpkin Pie (increase attack speed by 25%, skill activation time reduced by 15%)
  • War Supplies (+5 armor and +1 health regeneration pip)

This effect gets lost upon death. These all activate in the same way as activating all of these items on their own, so they add 6 items in your effects monitor.

You do not get these items, instead, the effects instantly activate.

Empowering Feasts are not tradeable to other players.

Heroes' Trifecta

Heroes' Trifectas instantly activate these boosts for 30 minutes for your entire party:

  • Grail of Might (+ 100 HP, + 10 energy, + 1 to all attributes)
  • Armor of Salvation (immunity to 50% of critical hits, + 10 armor, + 1 health regeneration, damage reduction of 5)
  • Essence of Celerity (20% faster movement and attack speeds, reduce skill activation and recharge times by 20%)

The effects does not get removed upon death. These all activate in the same way as activating all of these items on their own, so they add 3 items in your effects monitor.

You do not get these items, instead, the effects instantly activate.

Heroes' Trifecta are not tradeable to other players.

Infinite Identification and Salvage Kit Bundle (9.99 USD)

This bundle gives you access to an Infinite Identification Kit and a Infinite Superior Salvage Kit. Each of your characters can get a set by interacting with The Purveyor near the Shrines.

There is no usage cost for using these items - identification and salvaging becomes free.

Some important questions:

  • Both of these can be created and used in pre-searing, so you no longer need Charr Salvage Kits to extract runes in pre-searing.
  • The Infinite Superior Salvage Kit is not perfect, so items can still break (like with a regular Superior Salvage Kit).
  • These have green item rarity.
  • They work identically to their non-infinite counterparts.

About the Author

Hello, I'm Iaerah (formerly known as Kevin - which is my real name), the Guild Wars Legacy admin.

The reason why I switched my name to Iaerah is mainly because Kevin is so generic, and if I ever want an NPC named after me in game, I'll need a more creative name ;)

Joking aside, Iaerah is also my main in Guild Wars 2 (I know, I know, shoot me - but I enjoy both games. Just don't see GW2 as the sequel to GW1).

I'm not only the Guild Wars Legacy administrator but also the founder of it, together with some other great people like Richey (who runs the Guild Wars: A New Hope Facebook group) and Max Borken. I'm quite easy to contact and generally spoken I reply quite quickly, but I have a tendency to read my notifications and forgetting to respond. If that happens, feel free to send me a reminder.

You can contact me using the contact form on this site, you can send me a PM here or you can mail me on my Guild Wars Legacy email (hint: it's my real name @guildwarslegacy.com) and I'll get back to you as soon as I can (if I don't forget ;)).

In game, you can contact me on one of my two main accounts: my mains are either Leanna Goldwing or Inquisitor Karinda.

In general, don't be afraid to contact me!

Do you have an idea to improve Guild Wars Legacy, no matter how small it might be? Feel free to let me know!
