Glowing radiance of evil at the heart of Arachnia. Said to be the remains of a now-dead spider-god, older than Abaddon and the Five True Gods themselves.

Not many people stop to look at the layout of the maps from above since we only can see our character in first and third person view, but it's a hobby I've been doing since I discovered the "/map unlock" command in GWToolbox and there are real gems that go unnoticed in the game (like the cat and floating tree hidden in the valley under "The Tengu Accords" Bonus Mission Pack).
Time ago I started to read the whole "Unimplemented content" category to see if I could find discarded things of lore, and when I read all the sections related to Arachnia I began to understand that many of the map designs and terrains had a reason for being like they are. So I took Toolbox and started taking screenshots of the entire map, and what you see from the front view to how it is designed from above is another world.
I do not know if the blue giant spider corpse at The Spider's Heart and Arachnia Plateau is the dead old god Arachnia herself because no developer has explicitly confirmed it, but due the place is called like that and precisely there is the spider, gives something to think about. Perhaps all this discarded content found in the gw.dat remained as a game of perspective, quoting Thaddeus Bradley from "Now you see me" movie: «The closer you think you are, the less you'll actually see.»
Anyway, here I leave the screenshots for the general enjoyment: https://ibb.co/album/hCPcqR
