What did you get from Anger of the stone face?

I've farmed the battle depths wisps and got a q8 darkwing a few years ago, but that took about a year of farming.

Most luck for me has been Destroy the ungrateful slaves.

ungrateful slaves do not give any other gold sword than dead sword right ?

farmed a big bunch of lvl 17-20 NM foes too but never had luck, gave up after 2-3k hours with no drops except purple shield

tried really hard to drop vabbian skins as q8, i will share my spot for the lvl 20 foes if anyone is crazy enough to try this 2 gold per hours farm :

outside vehjin mines in nf (might offer crazy skins for shields)

also did a very big bunch of lvl 20 HM charrs in eotn, noticed it is highly... "frequented" (q8 fds/fellblade/longsword/oaken aegis)

yes a group of charrs in the first room at CoF is lvl20 in HM, run takes 40sec to kill 5-6 charrs lvl 20, had some pretty close call but never ever had a gold q8 max after prob 600h in here over the year i gave up, the spot offers some crazy potential skins for insc swords/shield

Only had luck for sword (dropped only 2 within in my gw life 12k hours and 2 on the same spot within short time) recently by chest running plagueborn at budked, found out the loot table is very small with only plagueborn items compared to am fah that drops 2 differents armor skins, many differents wands/focus/staves/hammer/daggers and all the crappy items we don't want as chest running in nm

My opinion after ruining a big part of my life hunting q8 : most ungrateful farm in game and not profitable for the time invested, this is definitively a bot job

Recently I have tried farming the tengu in Alcazia Tangle (they are all lvl 20). They are pretty manageable with vow of silence. What build are you using for the first group 20 HM Charr in COF?

My all-time favourite Q8 Chest run is Barbarous shore: 3-5 chests in just under 2 mins that can drop cool swords like briar / bramble / colossal with derv:

classic vos with death charge, make heros use spell breaker+ speed boost to pass the first foes, flag them away, vos+iau+ebon ward+ craft a +20vs charr scythe and vanguard title up

Gravebanes can also be farmed with regular vos. I hope you kept the nick items

Vaettirs is the default choice that comes to mind for me. I've gotten a handful of Q8s blue insc. but from HM.

Unfortunately yeah but the zone is luckily close to them so you can just rezone easily. I’ve never tried them NM.

Seems excruciatingly rare to even get any of these weapons as gold period, let alone a q8. Was curious how everyone else's luck has been for this farm and why this was labeled as best by far. Seems for the Jade foes, there is ALOT in their table that can drop, but as I said 99% of it has been runes/armors for me so far. Should I only be doing this during favor? I'm using an AOS derv build but I don't think its because I'm killing the foes too fast, otherwise I wouldn't get any golds at all, right?

I believe what you are describing is very typical for this farm in regards to just tons of garbs as drops and very few weapons, never mind it being a low req or good roll. You use to see a lot of bots in the nearby outposts farming this and it seems to have stopped because the yield is just not worth it. Of course there is a chance of one of the ultra rare skins in +5 potentially, but I have talked to some farming this in "unconventional ways" who are over 100k hours of accumulative farm across accounts on missing daughter and not a single q8.

Yesterday I got the Ceremonial Cauldron while doing "Missing Daughter" didn’t count exactly, but definitely under 50 runs.

About three days ago, I also got both shields on the same day from "Destroy the Ungrateful Slaves", again within 50 runs.

These two spots have been by far my luckiest so far.

I’ve been back into Q8 farming for about two weeks, and over the last few days I’ve been farming pretty focused, this is what came out of it.
I also saw quite a few blue and white Q8 drops, and from my experience that usually means the chances for max gold / purple Q8 are actually decent.
Meanwhile, I farmed Moddok Crevice heavily 100+ runs and didn’t even see a single white Q8 there. Just two Colossal Scimitars instead.

I think they also nerfed the Q8 Farm at Senji's Corner, significantly fewer chests than before.
