I was assuming this was worthless because it isn't gold, I don't believe it can cannot be mudded. I don't have any experience with Q8 items or below. Can you explain why the value? Is it just a collectors rarity type of thing?

it can be modded, has an inscr slot and you can add a shield handle. this makes it a fully moddable item to like a perfect dual ench shield.
the eternal in particular is a very popular skin that is demanded. like always in pricing offer and demand define the price, thus this one can reach over 100a which recent sales in this very forum show.
q8 and below (max) items are usually more rare than reqs above and more useful, which adds to their value.

I would value a q9 prot bds a bit higher, rather 150-160a so dont trade 1:1
