Man, this is an achievement and a post that I am really conflicted about, to be honest. Many years ago around 2007-2008 when I started playing, 13 year old me saw someone wearing a tonic and my gambling addiction began. After each new level of the title, I swore that would be it. But, the allure of a slightly prettier emote (and maybe an everlasting transmogrifier!) kept me coming back. Each time I gained an extra weapon in my /zrank I really believed I was done opening this stupid chest and would take long breaks, but sure enough, months or sometimes even years later, there I was again.
Along the way, I did actually have a modest amount of success that I have tried to outline below to the best of my memory:
- 1 El Trapdoor in '08/09 when it was worth 75e, the most expensive singular item I ever had at the time
- Countless other monthly tonics through the years that sadly have become almost worthless at this point
- R10,11,12, and 13 Voltaic Spears, never could get that R9
- R10 Obsidian Edge maybe around 2010 or 2011? It was worth a noticeable amount of money back then
- Countless Celestial Compasses, R10 Healing was probably my best
- Everlasting Yuletide Tonic, this dropped only a few months ago and I sold it for around 700e or so
- 0 Eternal Blades
- 0 Crystalline Swords
- 0 Everlasting Transmogrifier Tonics
Now for why this post is conflicting for me: when I started this title, it really meant something for someone to have a good rank. Back in the day, even having the axe was really cool. And man if you saw someone with a sword, that was RARE. Now of course, the game is 15 years old so these titles are unsurprisingly somewhat common, but there is an unfortunate underbelly that we all know has really fueled this fire. As someone who has never botted, it is really challenging that a very large part of the money that I earned over the 13 years I have played Guild Wars went directly to people who have countless accounts running. Something that I also found frustrating because I tried to wait to buy my keys in bulk to get discounts, was that the sellers were often the rudest people I have ever interacted with in this game. We all know it isn't a coincidence that someone is posting "WTS Zkey Stacks 105e/ea Pm How Many." Something else that is particularly sad to me, is that many of us who have played for a long time know who many of these people are and it just is what it is.
Now again for my conflicted feelings, it is likely that without these individuals I never would have been able to afford this title because the price of keys would be a lot higher. This probably is not the right place for substantial additional discussion about this, but I felt that it was the appropriate place to post this. Today, Guild Wars treated me to something bittersweet. The culmination of a lot of generosity of friends through the years, patience, and way too much time in Kamadan.
TL/DR: I got R12 Zaishen after 13 years and I am really not a fan of bots.

Because of iron man challenges this is far from impressive, but with my Leeroy Jenkins over-agro playstyle, running Fow for survivor was a surprising amount of fun! Seeing how much of the burning forest my heroes and I could handle got a little sketchy at times but I made it out in one piece

Checked another box off my GW bucket list today
I can only imagine how much of a grind this must have been back in the day.... Had to include my trusty staff (one of my first purple drops) and longbow that carried me through. I never want to fight a bandit again 
Interesting drops on my journey: 2 Charr kits, 2 Charr bags, probably 20ish purples, 2 black dyes, 1 white dye
