You want to prepare to farm before favor hits. So you're spending your favor time as efficient as possible. So this actually should work like that.

“Untradeable” so the tradable versions will probably still be expensive I’d imagine. Who knows which minis they will be adding to that though.
I’m pretty excited about “Permanently adding previously limited weapons to world drop tables”. Does this mean swamp clubs? max q7/8 again?! If that’s the case, same can be said to all the low q collectors “Big F to all the low q weapon collectors/hoarders” 😂My guess would be pre-order/bonus exclusive weapons such as the Glacial Blade, Chimeric Prism, Dragon Fangs, Ominous Aegis etc... Perhaps some china exclusive skins too.

The game is 20 years old. You should be happy with any updates in general, even bug fixes. Expecting expansion-level content makes no sense whatsoever.the quest= revisting existing content, the reward= existing items.
Calling this actual new content is copeYou should've kept your expectations in check. I'm just happy we're getting anything at all tbh. Now, there is still a slight chance that these notes don't cover all of it and that there is still more to come. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

They had a very short window to drop like this. They dropped right inbetween the prenerf and postnerf window, wich was iirc a window of less than a week's time. So as you can probably tell there are very few of these still around. Absolute beauty this one!

I've seen a lot of "Will ANet do anything for the 20th anniversary?" and "Have we heard anything about the 20th anniversary?" and similar posts recently, I wanted to share this clip from the 2024 Extra Life stream, during which Colin Johanson and a few of the developers that worked on the original Guild Wars are playing the game, chatting a little about the development of Guild Wars and the current state of the game, and also the recent work done on Steam Deck compatibility.It's a pretty fun portion to watch BUT the relevant bit of this is Colin Johanson says, "Guild Wars 1 has been running now for 19 years, next year is the 20th anniversary which is pretty exciting, and maybe we'll talk more about that on another day," and a little later: "we're proud of the fact that we can keep this game up, we never want to turn it off and we want to let people play this forever".
So it does seem like they have something in the works for the 20th anniversary, however currently this is all the information we have about it.
