Damn... iv been trying to farm a purple sailent sword my self... My aim has allways been to get 3, q8 sets, Blue, purple and gold, allready got dream gold set, my dream blue set is half done if the guy takes my offer for the shield, and my purple set you actualy just sold me the shield i needed. but i actualy ended up geting the sword in gold.... for once... i actualy want your mediocore luck XD
You need a Sea Purse Shield to match the ugliness of the bug themed Salient! haha
All I can recommend is chest run near bugs. I have yet to get a q8 Salient for myself unfortunately.. but if you wanna sell the gold one let me know x)

I got my first Q8 max drop from Kilroy's Keyless chest (1st chest as this is the only one that can drop q8 max).
The mod was terrible so it's been merched (story doesn't end here)....
Then... the very next run, same chest (1st chest), I got this.. why couldn't the requirements be reversed????
Noob question as I don't run the Kilroy chests, but can you get a purple crysta w max 15^50 or does it max out at 14^50? Also can you get a q8 purple crysta w 14/15^50?
