Some creature mods are more useful than others, but no mod is ever useless, I'm convinced. It's just about the number of use cases and their popularity. This goes for both shields and foci. (Also Jonast please keep in mind usefulness and price are not related in gw)
But yea, why exactly these creatures were created as mod options is a mystery. I get the charr/dwarves/undead/plants/demons, as they were the main enemies during some part of a campaign's storyline. But giants, come on... There are so few and none of them are important to the game in any way.
About skeletons, at least those were worked out a little bit more, like extra armor against piercing dmg, it's logical (hence also the necro bonelace insignia). I suspect that the skeleton mod idea appeared earlier in the development process, and anet didn't bother to remove it once undead was implemented.
The rarest shield combo in my opinion that still drops would be +10 vs creature +1 attribute 20%.
That's not a matter of opinion. And even without the "opinion" part, that statement is false. It's not even second rarest.

Well if you're looking for fire + comm specifically, that would be equally rare of course xD but if any mixed prof attribute combo would do, then it would be less rare because there are more possibilities

That's cool, req 0 with hsr to a specific attribute. Too bad we can't know in this case whether it matches the (hidden) requirement attribute, it could be chan/comm/spawn but also could be earth magic I think?
Imagine a Holy dmg 7-11 plagueborn with 18/18 smite, that would be so nice but extremely rare... in terms of mods alone, at least 100 times more rare than a 20/20 healing holy rod

I agree with Neutral that there is no perfect solution that can keep out 100% of botters. However, less than 100% is still better than nothing.
So far, the forum content that sparked this thread has all come from the same source. I'm probably naive but removing threads like Ether's would be a good first step. It might turn into a game of whack-a-mole for the mods if there are other botters starting to focus on oldschool items and selling on here, but that's not a given.
Bluey's idea of tagging suspected botters deserves some consideration. Obviously you shouldn't allow users to do this (removing reactions from selling/buying forums was a good decision), but mods can do it based on some internal list of conditions being met. The suspected user then has the opportunity to somehow prove that he is not botting, which takes the burden of proof off the mods. I also agree with San that you can allow yourself to be less than 100% politically correct (although you should watch out not to censor too much dissenting content; we don't want the whole board to become an echochamber of snowflakes).
Finally, now I'm just brainstorming but could it be viable to allow buying of botted items here? Could you make some kind of section where users can say "I want to buy botted items" and the botter can then contact them with a link to their own website/discord/shared document or whatever? This way, it would be less of a problem for botters if their sales threads are removed and they might try that option before making new accounts etc.

These kind of things can be incredibly difficult to prove and while I realise some threads/items are likely a lot more obvious than others it is simpler for moderators and posters to follow existing rules.

I cannot know if an item I bought has been botted, stolen, or cheated. There's no way for me to find out
The only way to be unsure about whether the items sold by Purely/Autism Awareness Is Back/Ether were botted is by burying your head in the sand (which is what I did in nov/dec). That's what the legacy team chooses to do by requiring evidence but not having the means to gather or assess it. Which is what I would do, too, if I were a moderator; things get messy and it will be too much work to sort them out. This has advantages as well, such as giving users more freedom to determine the forum's contents.
Regarding forum contents, it seems to me that this place is now just for trading with loose morals. At the same time, recently there is no longer any interest in threads/discussions about actual gameplay. There's very little that interests me, and very little that I contribute that interests anyone. This thread was helpful for me to determine whether there was a chance of things changing in the future, so thanks to Dadan for starting it.

I would like to try something slightly different (if Kugi allows it in this thread) and ask for your help to collect locations of murals/mosaics/stained glass of Tyrian gods.
Reward for each one I don't know about is 15e.
They can be anywhere in any campaign, except pre-searing. Here is a quick list of ones I can think of:
- 5 gods in ascalon city
- 6 gods in consulate docks
- balthazar in dragon's gullet near the entrance
- dwayna in dragon's gullet at the western pool
- grenth in ascalon foothills northeast corner
- grenth in nolani at the bonus pedestal
- lyssa in eastern frontier on the western field
- balthazar in pockmark flats southeast corner
Also the most recent one I found, for which I'll put a bounty of 20e to the first person to reproduce the screenshot (hint: if you're here, then your friends you just saved are probably already trapped by the Charr, go and help them before your only way of escape is lost):

But I'd be interested if you or any other mod could expand a bit and answer the original question. Have you given any thought recently about what kind of board you want Legacy to be?
There are users who don't mind bots and there are users who do mind, so will you consider removing/adding any forum rules (you have changed rules before, it's possible) if there is a wish for it from users? Not taking action is also a statement, and Dadan's fears that Legacy will simply turn into a market for botted items may even come true. I can't really believe you are OK with that (extreme) scenario, because why then would you have created all the other subforums like q&a, farming, builds, etc.? I'm not criticising one side or the other, but just honestly interested in how the legacy team thinks about it
