Hard mode unlocked.
My plan is to farm Dragon Moss for materials and cash to craft cons and farm Pcons over the next two holidays.
I hope to obtain the Anniversary Sword and cap "Together as One!" during the Birthday Celebration and plenty of cupcakes to last a year.
Eventually, I'll farm enough Zaishen Bounties and Missions to upgrade my bags as well.
Let the solo farming begin!

Nightfall was pretty easy. The biggest scare I had was fighting the Drought (Rilohn Refuge). That's a really easy place to die, unprepared.
Now, to save Tyria from The Great Destroyer!

Yeah, I'll be your devil's advocate. Botting (and programs like toolbox) can be fun, too. But, the unfortunate side effect is that it can affect those who don't use them. The one bad thing I will say about bots, in general, is that it's a shame when they are used to gain a competitive edge against others like on a leader board (ie. Diablo 2, Diablo 3, etc.). The PvP bots in this game don't really do that (no one cares if you bought a Hero Rank 15 account) and no one is forced to purchase the products of PvE botting. Perfect quality PvE items can be obtained solo with minimal effort. However, I have heard of interrupt bots (others?) being used in GvG which actually destroys the game's integrity. Bots used for that purpose should be the focus of banning.
As far as the forum goes, I do not believe Legacy has a place in determining what should and should not be said in public places provided the rules are not breached. Freedom of speech and less regulation is always better. The community has free will to decide what they will or will not do. Period.
My advice is enjoy the game however gives you fun. Even these massive bot farms can't catch up to 16 year strong power traders in wealth.

Factions is complete! Parts of it were pretty challenging given the rules I'm confined to. For much of the campaign, I was able to rely on interrupts to mitigate damage, but Shiro proved to be extraordinarily difficult with Ranger only skills. So, I was side-tracked into capping a new build for the battle. Please visit my Activity Log for additional commentary!

The two games are entirely different. Play the one you enjoy playing the most.
I still prefer gw1 to any other mmo.

Prophecies is completed. Hell's Precipice was actually very easy with all of the shutdown and damage negation I had taken with me. I decided I wanted to try and gamble some of my hard earned cash on some Darkstone chests in case I found something useful. Surprisingly, I did get a nice staff that I'll be able to use on an Ineptitude hero in Nightfall. Now onto Factions!

By negatively impacting the economy ? Being the middle man, you actively participate to it.

1. There is no maybe. I don’t bot. I don’t even use toolbox. Nor do I condemn those who do. This is just my preference.
2. Yes, I sold his botted items. As I mentioned, I was doing what felt right with the time I was given. I would do it again. If that makes me a terrible capitalist, so be it.
3. If you really think I was blind to the negative impact it had on the economy, you’re misjudging entirely.
4. I would be a hypocrite if I condemned Ether ’s (Ryn’s) actions. I don’t. Infact, I gave him useful feedback despite our differences and failed business relationships. Other than useless questions, where was yours?
5. That giveaway was by NO means a manner of “clearing” my name. It never needed cleared in the first place. I’ll let me actions speak for themselves. I stated the purpose for that giveaway in the thread: to clear my conscience of the failed business relationship. The only other option was to trash the items, but I also don’t agree with abortion, so I gave the items meaning to the community.
6. TongTong this was not an attack on you. Don’t read into it too much. I say what I mean and I mean what I say.
7. Politicians wouldn’t want me in politics. Work might actually get accomplished.

So we got to the stage where botters are so prevalent and so unconcerned about consequences they brazenly post a 500 weapons giveaway and a lot of people went to claim it..
I'm not a botter. And, yes, they were brazenly given away to the community by me because the OP takes from the community by negatively impacting the economy. That's not to say what the OP is doing currently is good or bad, just that this point, TongTong , is invalid and pointed in the wrong direction.
so botting is bad, but taking free items from botters to sell it yourself is ok ?

Just a touch. The unknown is what makes it fun. If we knew everything, where would the fun be in playing?
Please let me know if you see an error with the data or what you'd like to see researched & documented. The project goal is to find out exactly how rare items are.
For players, the only information useful from your data is the potential discovery of drop rates for a specific item in one location versus another. So, if paper lanterns drop in one location more commonly than another, then it would be useful knowledge for a player looking for paper lanterns to know where to look.
If you really want to be useful to the community, you need to take it a step further than providing drop rates taken to insignificant decimal places. :heart:
