merch the sword
That is a postnerf max q7 sword, don't merch it. There are collectors of such items and can also sometimes find use in speed clears or farm builds.

High value item, but pretty sure the 144g gives it away as one of the dupes from years passed. q7 FDS had a lot of children if you get my drift. Even disregarding that should still pull in the 500a range.

It has some value from a collection stand point. I won't give a value as I am interested in it but don't merch it.

q7 shield isn't really something you can price check as comparable things don't sell often enough. I would put it up for sale here on legacy and not sell to private messages.

A bit confussed: Farmed the luxon assassins in hm, got this drop from one of them. So swords q8 max can also drop from enemies above level 21 enemies if not gold? Never got such a drop, even it is merch…
Q8 max white and blue shields/swords drop in HM but never purple or gold. So that is why q8 15-22 inscribable swords are the most common. It is much easier to drop a blue q8 sword especially with higher level enemies.

I got this one from a chest near stone kirin in pong mei. So I would assume stone kirin farming maybe about as close as you can get to farming them that I know of personally.

Gold versions go in the 30a range, so blue being a lot more common would be more in the 5-10a range is my guess but see if others have opinions besides just put it up for sale.

ANET has a long history of fail. Glad you got your account back. It is just ironic they would cause duplicates of rare items as that is a very reason they banned some people. lol

None of those 2 items are merch food, I am actually interested in both so I would recommend putting them up for sale as to what value hard to say with them being kind of odd ball purple.

Price check forum is a lot like several guys trying to pickup a girl in a bar. Sometimes no one will make a move as they are unsure or have some interest so they will try to strike up a conversation off to the side. In other times you have a loud mouth going in for the kill and people come in to cockblock for various reasons.
In reality the PC forum is used by some to protect players, although probably the rarest scenario. The other realistic main use people get out of it is sniping items below market or price checking super high to annoy fellow collectors.

Quite a few of those items should pull some decent money. The q8 15 enchant broadsword is rare enough there isn't similar sales often enough to determine a price. The easiest way to know is just list all this stuff for sale here and the market will price check them through bids and eventual sale.
