I don't know why, but as the years have passed I have been liking less and less all the expensive armors. When I started in 2005 and I saw the Obsidian Warrior armor for first time, I thought it was really cool, but now every time I see it, it looks like an inflated barrel with legs (the female version in proportions seems correct to me though) to the point that I don't like to play with the character. I've always found a bit surreal to wear 200kg of armor (immersion issues ~~) and that's probably why I never liked shiny weapons or fantasy armors like the ones you can find in online JRPG games... or even GW2. Same happens with the Obsidian Elementalist armor, I tried dozens of color combinations and I don't like any, it looks ugly with all. The only Obsidian that I find cool is the Ritualist one and the leggins of the Dervish. (Personal opinion, of course, my comment does not represent the general preference, when you are bored in this game after so many years your brain starts looking for other forms of entertainment, some people collect things and in my case I try armor combinations xD)
I've recently been testing combinations with the Warrior that resemble armors in real life, and from the designs available in GW I think the regular Tyrian/Krytan chain mail armor looks pretty good, it's very underrated in my opinion, and it fits with a lot of different weapons. You can even simulate the iron color applying a black + white dye. I think I'm going to delete all the other armors and use this one from now on > . <
Totally agree about obsidian armor and shiny weapons, helmet apart I always had the same "inflated barrel" feeling about it.
I'm really digging this full chainmail armor, I love the looks of it with the first weapons set

Next one is a q9 Earth with +1Fire(20%)
And last but not least the last will be a q8 Fire with +5ar
If the q9 Earth with +1Fire(20%) had a 380 gold value, this would immediately become a great collection

Me and my sister used to share the account in the early years, so there are "my" toons and "her" toons.
Some months ago I was in the Deep with guildies with this ele and when I pinged my build a couple of them noticed that my attributes were odd... Figured out what I was missing
Actually that toon has 467 hours, so I guess it was around 380-400hours at that time, long finished all the campaigns

So now with all of that praise for the others, I have to defend my choice:
What Prophecies lacked in game comfort, in writing, in player friendliness it made up for in variety, mystery, and visuals. While the overarching story leaves a lot to be desired, from Pre to the Shiverpeaks Prophecies is packed with weird, wild, and fascinating scenery, side quests, and so on. You can run anywhere and accidentally end up against enemies you weren’t supposed to fight. The lack of an intense theme gives the enemies so much variety — you’re fighting charr, then dwarves, then skeletons, then white mantle, then forgotten, and so on…and it all feels seamless. The bonuses, while often annoying to solo these days, were so fascinating. The underlying tone of PvE being training for PvP makes for some really cool objectives like Aurora Glade, Thirsty River, etc.
If you were picking a single campaign to get lost in, Prophecies is the one. I have been lost in it for about 16 years now.
This.
Totally agree with your NF opinion, but Prophecies has "The Magic"

Prophecies for the magic, it was love at first sight and still is after 16 years.
About favourite mission: I can't make a choice among The Great Northern Wall, Thunderhead Keep and The Dragon's Lair.
I love the first because of the run from the Charr's charge: when I played this mission for the first time it really gave me the impression of running for my life and that memory still makes it one of my favourite.
About Thunderhead Keep: as Capitalist said, it was the love for a good challenge in the old days, when you didn't have pve skills or creatures to support you, aside from minions. Still love that mission.
I love The Dragon's Lair for the place and the story, for the variety of foes and Glint herself.
BONUS POINT: I think my favourite outpost is Yak's Bend. It brings all the memories of the first touch of snow of the game, of Shiverpeak Arena, of crossing the mountains for the Ascalon refugees. Shiverpeaks is the best part of the game
