The Channeling Bo Staves with the Fire and Earth damage are cool, not that all the others arent too.

Oh, you mean get the skills without finalizing the actual secondary profession? I don't like to do that because you don't get all the skills and you can't put attribute points into the secondary skills, which tends to make the skills weaker.
Oof, this got complicated.
Understandable, I've done a several LDoA toons, my first being by death leveling, ugh.
At this point I want it as easy as possible

I didn't think there was a Profession changer in Pre?
There isn't.
Your secondary isn't chosen until you accept the reward for whichever one you decide to be.
There are quests for each profession, a starter, then a follow up.
It's been awhile so I may be wrong on the specifics here so double check the wiki
You can do all the first starter quests as long as you don't do the follow up quest you can "play" whichever one you want.

I usually go with ranger as a secondary. The pet makes a nice tank. Once you reach LDoA you can always go to Ele.

The R9's are xx ectos
The R4 Daggers , I dont know last time i saw R4 gold with 15^50 and perfect mods, although max damage at R4 is 6-12

I bought a couple of Magma Shields a month or so ago. They were R10 Un Id'ed inscribes so the 8e I paid for each wasnt a big deal.
Glad to know I can figure out what they are in regards to stanced or enchanted in the future.

I don't always have keys in inventory while out and about. I've curiously noted ( at least in my brain) that when I dont have any a multitude of chests seem to spawn along my path.
And when I do have keys , it seems I have to seek them out as opposed to just having them there as Im walking along my path.
I'm not a chest runner by any means, just something I think I've noticed lately. I'm sure there may be some science behind it.

Yea what both of you said makes sense, especially with that drops being targeted. Today its diffrent case, botters seem to target rarest skins like goth, outcast and even magmas now.
My guess is volume trumped rarity then. It was easier to farm for plat since that more or less drove the economy outside of high end trades. The player base was huge then, now I'd guess there are less than 50k active players if that. Some of the items I buy today would have been merched then pay xx e for today. I always was more attracted to green items then than rare items back in the day.

LOL, I remember how excited I was when my first one dropped. It was like a mad rush in the guild I was in at the time for all the core players to get one.
I think I have half a dozen r9 ones now sitting in storage. I loved that skin for a long period of time.
