Hey! Just dropped this while solo practicing some FoW stuff and I need it to pay some of the cons I've wasted there.
I'm bad with creature shields, how much could I expect to sell this for?
Thanks

Thank you, will try to catch you online. And yes, this is a bump

I don't know if any of them hold any kind of value at all, except the q0 one.
Q0 scythes are used in speed clears, because they're the best way to regain energy from attacking foes. It can give you up to 3 energy per hit, since scythes can hit up to 3 targets. And it's nice additional bonus damage, since it doesn't require you to have any points put into scythe mastery (if it's a q0 one). The closest you can get is a wintergreen scythe, which is 10-10 damage, and can be modded too.
A max q0 scythe will sell for a lot, one recently sold for 7 arms (700-800 ectos) here on legacy, but yours is 2 off max. Still a bit better than a wintergreen scythe, but I don't see it selling for over 50e.
For reference, you can get a wintergreen one for 30-50e.
Good luck

Up! Looking for new items
Didn’t mean to question the stated fact you believe to be true, you’re probably even right.
I was just questioning why it is more popular, since it’s a lot more restricted than the other attributes.
Haven’t followed these shields and their sales too closely to give a trusted price, just wanted to give my two cents
Personally I would’ve paid more for a command than a str, but that’s because I speed clear a lot. I could throw this on a para, my A/P, or have it as a tank shield whenever I can put points into command. I don’t know why a str shield would be more popular, the only time I buy a str shield is if it’s;
1. For my ranger. It’s R/A so I can’t put points into any shield anyway.
2. The skin only drops in str.
My advice would be to post it here on auction and see where it goes, you’re not obliged to sell anything would you not be satisfied with the price.
I wouldn’t have sold for under 70-80a.
This would be my contribution
Last one, I swear
I couldn't exclude my ranger, probably my favourite (thanks to the shield) fit I've got on any character.
Got a q9 cc com for 25e

Most likely a mistake, as Pleikki stated, it shouldn't be able to drop with 3 mods.
Probably a combination of 2 of 3 of the mods you posted, which still could be worth a lot (especially q9 df 20/19) since it's a very nice, if not one of the nicest skins for OS wands ingame, if it is OS at all.
Post a screen when you can.
Merch both.
Ghostly could've been some ectos if it were perfect
Single mod shields does not have any value (unless q7, and a few q8)
I don't know how rough the connection would be for a Japanese player, but as a reference point, I'm a European player who can without issues play on the American district. Only when I'm doing hard stuff do I jump to European servers for the even quicker response.
Downloading all the maps at once? : GuildWars (reddit.com)
Here's a reddit post on how to force the client to download the whole game, instead of having to wait in loading screens in game.
Good luck and welcome back
that +42 is making me cry too
Haven't seen you for a while lol. I knew I should've saved my +41 shields

GW made me cry today
Agreed with pyro. It's still max armor and +10 vs demons - people buy these. It's a nice skin too.
Just found this, might be interesting?
Great post and always helpful, but here are few points i got to say
Thank you for your input, I've adjusted a few points and added some wands
Can you please post a full screenshot of the item? All borders included.
As far as I know, it’s;
two handed
Gold value
Custo name, if it is custod.
We don’t get to see anything below the “two handed” text.
Now it does have a +20% customisation modifier on it but I haven’t seen bugged bonus mission pack weapons before, they’re supposed to be customised so they might have the modifier even if they’re not custod. Which will make them even more OP.
There’s a mursaat shield with a c/o of 50a and I can’t see this going for anything lower than that. You might even attract some FoW/UW gods, since they never get to buy anything nice for their dervishes
TL:DR maybe 50+ a. Post full screenshot

Sad day? feels like a sad day
Very sad indeed
Nice guide, let's hope a mod see it and decide to pin it.
A few remarks :
Thank you, did a quick update because you're totally right. I've missed a few key points and also added the fact that some of the prof specific skins are a bit less common than others. I'll try to take a look on all the staves and update when I've got a bit more time.
Cheers
Before we begin, I'd like to say that this is not intended to be a guide on how much a specific item is worth. What I intend to accomplish with this post is a general guide on how much an item could be worth with all the circumstances accounted for.
This guide is intended for items that are currently able to drop in game. For any pricing related to items you believe to be pre-nerf, see following posts:
For pre-nerf (unique) items, see this post by Unholy.
For pre-nerf (rare) & (uncommon) weapons, shields and focuses, see Weapons and Shield & Focus by Evelynn Roscoe.
And lastly we have the beautifully compiled General guide by fsc1 for anything else.
A 20/20 high req staff/wand/focus is worth substantially more than a q9 20/19, since a 20/19, when equipped, will not have the highest modifier allowed on weapons in game. They're usually called one-offs. They still hold some value to people that really like the skin and won't mind the 1% off, but expect 1-10% of the value a max one would have. 20/20 Q9-10's are the ones holding the big money, but as always, it all depends on what skin.
I want to adress a crucial phenomenon when it comes to Staves/wands. Any of these that are a "profession" skin, can ONLY roll HCT/HSR of their respective professions. I.e, a core elementalist staff/wand will only roll elementalist HCT/HCR's (Earth/Fire/Water/Air) while "zone specific" skins can roll into all attributes, excluding FC/SR/ES, thus making zone specific (which I will go into in a second) by far rarer in perfect 20/20 mods.
There is one exception that I'm aware of, and that is core Earth staves. Earth staves in this specific skin (obsidian) are very rare and quite sought after.
"Profession specific skins"
Core | Canthan | ||
Earth Magic | Obsidian | ||
Fire Magic | |||
Air Magic | |||
Water Magic |
Curses | Blood Magic | Death Magic |
Evil Eye | Accursed | Dark Tendril | Wailing | Bone |
Domination Magic | Illusion Magic | Inspiration Magic |
Inscribed | Clairvoyant | Hypnotic | Jeweled | (Twin serpent) | Jeweled (Metal) | Doesn't Drop in OS |
Spawning Power | Channelling Magic | Communing | Restoration Magic |
Restoration | Channeling | Communing | Eeire | Doesn't Drop in OS |
Divine Favor | Healing Prayers | Protection Prayers | Smiting Prayers |
Divine | Holy | Holy Branch | Doesn't Drop in OS | Doesn't Drop in OS | Smiting | Winged |
These items are very common and very often roll perfectly into 20/20 of the matching attribute, since there's only 3-4 different HCT's to roll. The only exception again, would be the Obsidian Earth staff. I frequently merch these items because they're hard to sell and there's more of them for sale than people looking to buy. I might try to sell a q9 20/20 one for a couple of ectos, but even then it's a hard sell. Don't expect anything much from these skins. You'll find the occasional player liking the look of the skin and wanting to buy one but that's about it.
Edit: a few of these staves are less likely to drop than other prof specific staves, (thank you Oldschool Cool) see his comment down below for stats from his chest running data.
Disclaimer: This does not include the "profession" wands/foci. Even if they too cannot roll outside of their main profession attributes, having both of the mods on a wand/focus roll into the same attribute is rare enough and will have some interest.
I hope this then makes you realize how insanely rare it is for a wand that is not a profession specific skin to have both mods roll into the same attribute.
Q9 Rare skin focus with perfect matching mods, sold for 300a
added: A few desired mods on wands/foci are a combination of any of following mods;
"Zone specific skins"
Now here's where things gets interesting.
These following items are not bound to any specific profession, and can drop for them all. A Bo staff can drop in q9 water and roll a HCT 20% restoration magic. This makes these skins a lot more valuable when they're 20/20 matching HCT's. Since there are so many attributes to roll from, these are naturally rarer than the previously mentioned skins, and harder to obtain in "20/20".
These skins are also valuable when dropped in 20/10 and usually sell for anything around 5-20e.
Restoration, prot and healing staves would be the exception, since they do not drop in OS reqs, and can only be found as HCT's.
Divine favor staves do drop, and are collected in any combination of the monk attributes as well as 20/20 matching.
Example;
A q11 Spawning power Platinum staff with HCT 20% restoration
Note: Tyrian skins tend to be rarer and more popular.
Canthan | Tyrian |
Bo | Dead |
Dragon | Raven |
Forbidden | |
Platinum | |
Plagueborn | |
Outcast | |
Cockatrice | |
Amber | |
Jade | |
Celestial | |
Jellyfish (Wand) |
These three items drops throughout Cantha and are very rare so I decided to include them as well. Any of these will have some kind of value when they're dual modded with max mods. Matching, max, and useful mods? Could be hundreds of arms.
Paper Fan | Jug | Paper Lantern |
Elite zone specific skins
These are the best of the best, rarest and most expensive caster items currently still dropping in game (excluding the Shadow Staff, for some reason FoW items aren't as popular as the rest).
Urgoz/Deep | Fissure of Woe | The Underworld |
Wayward Wand | Shadow Staff | Ghostly Staff |
Straw Effigy | ||
Zodiac Scepter | ||
Zodiac Staff |
I've always thought of creating this post because of the weekly "what is my q9 blood dark tendril staff worth" posts and the fact that their subsequent answers always contain the word "merch".
I intended to include shields as well but there's just too many variables when it comes to them. Skin/req/mods, max/min mods etc.
I hope I've been able to add something to your price-checking knowledge, and hopefully you'll have a reference point for future questions about skins and their rarities.
Advice for the higher end skins; don't rush the sale. Post it here and try to sell in Kamadan, and make sure to give it some time. There are a lot of collectors that would pay big for these items but aren't active enough to see a selling post that is closed after a week of bidding.
Have fun
Thank you a lot
