check here for some info - basically zkeys are so heavily botted that they are insanely common, which yields to almost everything be ready to merch. maybe watch out for zeal vamp and ench mods on scythe for 2-3e/ea, on weapons the ones mentioned in the thread - and keep the ones you find visually pleasing for you and your heros
the bow can fetch some ecto, since max for q0 longbow (readily used for pulling) but not really a ton since the inherent is neither max, nor the most desired. all in all a niche item for collectors - 5-20e maybe more

eternal blade, crystalline sword, voltaic spear, celestial compass - those are the rare ones I'd know about...

9 is a fun dualmod, dwarves is liked by most of the collectors of odd os stuff, with a healthmod kind of rare. Don't expect too much though - it won't surpass 50e likely, anything above 10e I'd consider a reasonable price.

concerning clearing the mystery of the low req market: check this thread - it lists the max recorded samage and armor for each req and weapon type. for using purposes (sc/pvp) especially shields in q3-5,7&8 (-2wE/45wE, -2wE/10vsDemon, -2wE/10vsUndead or Skele), daggers in q5 (15wE, 5e), scythes in q0, occasionally spears, swords, axes in q0-3 (15wE) are desired - mostly insc, in brackets the desired mods that are relevant for the os versions. also for using but also more collecting purpose are os one handed caster mod weps (sword/axe +5e), that are fun in any way (since damage dealt won't matter much in general pve it doesn't even have to be max for req, where it certainly helps raise the price). for collecting purposes: any max for req ones, esp also os with max inherents (15^50 and 5e most notably, but all are collectable). a special position takes q4 axes, since those are available at 7-19 in q4, which means they have higher low damage than max axes - they are particularly rare and more desired.

concerning the middleman option: there is way less risk to be taken:
1. you trade the middleman 1750a
2. middleman confirms recieving to the seller
3. you trade item for 1750a with seller
4. you (buyer) confirm the trade to the middleman
5. seller get 1750a from middleman
this was assuming a 3500a trade. if it's more the middleman will have to recieve said "more" and hand it back to seller in the end obviously.
this way only item value minus 1750a is the amount trusted to the middleman and not twice the item value as in your description. I'd bet you can find a middleman offering to do such. whilst I do not have reputation for doing such service I'd offer you to do it - I can even give my 5 most beloved custod items in exchange in step 1 for you to have a guarantee that I don't drop out. You'd trade this guarantee to the seller after step 4. so I can get them back from the seller for the deposit made with me. I can only supply with a reputation of general trustworthyness, helpfullness and honesty that I earned.

Edit: or yet another option without middleman and just a rather reduced risk of 1/2*(trade value-1750a) hence half as much as in the displayed middleman alternative:
1. you hand the seller 1000a
2. you trade the item for 1750a
3. you hand the seller the remaining 1000a
this is assuming a 3750a trade. this way over the entireity of trade the risk is equaled out: first you have to trust the seller for 1000a, then the seller has to trust you for 1000a. you could even exchange something of personal value in advance as guarantee of each step - as I offered to do with my 5 favourite custod weps (ofc this means there would have to be relevant items on both sides. in my case there'd be the only os q9 15^50 scythe, which has no value to you, but to me - hence guaranteeing I will want it back, since I couldn't simply buy a replacement - since there is none.)

so they are both perf q9s in perf mod combos and even desireable. yet they are just core skin and just wands and no 20/20s. sadly this is a big punch concerning value. I bought and sold 20/10s like yours in the 20-60e range here on legacy and ingame. It'd be what I'd expect for these as well - put them for quction at rb 50e and see where it goes - or just rather keep them to yourself for a hero or the likes seeing the relatively limited sale potential...

for your questions:
yes they kind of matter. the chests aren't placed anywhere near your entry point, which is the closest I can say. no clue on the range or the details but I guess they tried to avoid chestruns being too short - like run out of town and get a chest within 10sec. then the loot is somewhat thematic to the group that it spawns with - for pongmei the echo etc only drop near the dragon moss/warden things, whilst jade drops are seen near wallows and plagueborn near - you guessed it - plagueborn. this means the entry location will affect the skins you drop in an area as multicultural as pongmei, whilst the stats don't depend on that. so it depends what you are after: if jade drops start from maatu/tanglewood, if after echo start from boreas/sunjang (you can take an alt for rezoning).
ofc the overall distribution of mobs can make certain starting points more or less efficient, but that is really to be viewed on a map-by-map basis... more mobs per area usually means more chests per area - and some maps are heavily unequal concerning that. but the main point of efficiency comes by the route options: in pongmei starting from sunjiang is not really feasible, since you would have to cover areas twice, whilst starting from boreas/tanglewood allows for the most linear route.
multibox is always faster ofc, but depends. I can't actually run 2 chars on my machine (too slow) but you could think of running 8 on parallel - whereas for that I'd guess it'd be faster to run them on different instances, so you can use full support heroes each. but might be more confusing due to different chest spawns. for rezoning and hence running from a more effective entry point (or an entry point at all on maps that don't connect to a city) an alt is often helpful!
these are just some aspects that I consider as input.

and most skins from WoC farm are pretty low value even if perfect since they are heavily farmed and botted. best skins to look out for are paper fan, diamond aegis, iridescent aegis. in good mods these can fetch a fortune.

yes I absolutely agree that everything looks like they do not drop and I am also on that side, but I was just arguing that our data base might not be as solid as we'd think and hence I'd love to find all the underlaying mechanisms and hopefully from that point be able to tell why it isn't possible.
No, that sentence is false and has no truth behind it. Hammers, Wands, axes and staffs exist max q7 but max q8 versions dont drop anymore
at least to our knowledge they do not drop. but there were noticeable differences in circumstances: no hm around, FAR more players, farms for lvl20 and below mobs. Combining this with the fact that max q7s of the mentioned weapon types were crazy rare even back in the day (unlike shield sword foc, which were rather regular drops) I might not discard the possibility entirely. plus I remember a developer being quoted that all weapon types would still drop max q8 (butthat is a vague memory plus I wouldn't take it for granted)
might be they are just 1000times less likely than a max q8 sword...
