    this is probably the unluckiest q9 19/19 wand. I guess a collector will go catch it for a few ecto - but even a 20/20 in df is entirely useless - so don't expect much - I'd accept anything above 5e probably

    Nah - for me skins don't matter much (as of yet), I'm on the theoretical end determining the possible stat ranges. Once that is done a list of what mob drops what will yield all the possible ranges - some interesting ones will likely occur :)

    So looking for ANY lvl 19 farmable casters - the more kills per time the better.

    So rethinking: in the end I think you can just argue same way for all q8s - almost all coming from lvl20 and thus peaking in 136g.

    Anything from below lvl 20 in q8 will just as well have more 32/33g q8s since they won't happen on lower values (probably - I'm still trying to find that 31g unid 12e foc... but finding efficient lvl 19 farming spots for foci... anyone help me?) And thus be most commonly 136g when id. Lvl 21 I'm not yet sure - if they drop q8 then only 35g or maaaaaybe 34g but it'd be an irrelevant percentage amongst all existing q8s.

    But tiny bit more complex ;D

    So here goes: we have to distinguish between different weapon types and between pre and postnerf. Long story short: postnerf q8 foci + shields will be most common in 136g which would be 32g unid with 2g random or 33g with 1g random on top. Pre nerf the statement might be true still but due to entirely different reason: there was no hm and farming lvl 20s was very popular - chestruns as well. Lvl 20 has highest chance for 32/33g and thus also 136g most common gold item id value. For post nerf q8s the source is also almost exclusively lvl 20s but that's irrelevant: anything above 35g can't be q8 anymore - thus the argumentation is that the q8 items are most common in 32/33g and near impossible at 35g. Swords however can't drop at 32/33g so there the most common idvalue is different - but amongst all the q8 items swords play an insignificant percentage - speaking post nerf. Thus the most common one is indeed 136g, lowest 132g and highest - we might never know (postnerf should be 280g prenerf probably 480 or so).

    it is not at random that there is so many 208g gold items dropping, let me tell you this much ;)

    Anything lvl 24+ (which is almost everything in the elite areas and anywhere in hm) has an unid value drop range of 50-57g. The chances however aren't equally distributed but rather rapidly decreasing in probability towards the higher ones. By far the most common are 50 and 51g. 57g there is like 1 in a couple hundred (I'd have to check my data for details - irrelevant here - you get the idea). Then comes identifying: the formula of the id value goes: idvalue = (unidvalue + random) * rarityfactor. Random is a variable that is in the range 1g-unidvalue, again the lower being far more common. Rarityfactor is for the different rarities: 1 for white + blue, 2 for purple, 4 for gold. Putting this together you see why the 208 is one of the most common item values in game: 208g = (50g + 2g) * 4 = (51g +1g) * 4. It is the most common value for identified gold items in hm/elite areas and since this is the most played areas by 99% of the players these days probably the most common value for identified gold items overall.

    Side note: also q8 elite area items will have this as their most common value since q8 there is prenerf and the nerf hasn't changed the unid value ranges by level but only the req by unid value ranges - thus you'll stand a chance to find your desired q8 caster zod sword/axe ;)

    skull shield I'd put around 20-40e (purple is rather a niche market, but there are collectors. And it's at least as useable as a blue one...)

    The crude is probably merch, but there is collectors for fun stuff - I reckon PyroLobster having a very similar one - maybe you may ask him. I'd suppose no more than 10e if you find someone who likes it :)

  • Warrior build and more

    a good start would be a simple warriors endurance with a lot of strong strength attacks and few of your weapons' attribute. Nothing much can fail here. A whirlwind attack is always useful for energy buildup - use a zealous upgrade on your weap.

    Another classic is a drahon slash warrior. Use for great justice to permanently spam it. Anything else is to cover the time between for great justice.

    A very neat one for PvE is a cyclone axe build. Especially devastating with one or two rit heros carrying splinter weapon. Cyclone axe, whirlwind attack are the core of the build triple chop is an optional elite but not really necessary. Secondary monk with live vicariously and vigorous spirit round off the thing.

    Also a earthshaker hammer warrior is great against groups as well as backbreaker warrior to take out a single target.

    Generally some protection prayer hero is always useful with shielding hands or the likes, also healing seed etc - flag the henchies so you initially get all the aggro then you also get best use of your aoe.

    I advise to read the skills and think about effective combinations. But there are good examples on the mentioned site.

    This is golden. Wow. My own first collection was 10 -2wE shields, where I collected all 18 versions. I know how hard some of the proph creatures were and how useful these shields are in farming. I do still have a weakness for this mod combo - sadly I still couldn't complete the set of all 18 ones in my fav skin. (I have 17...). Considering yours are magmas shields makes it even more impressive. There was a time when I thought about doing just that, but my funds wouldn't allow so. This set takes a special place for me. Impressed. Thanks for sharing!

  • Calculating the chance on a perfect q9 20/20 machting attributes Wand

    fun one - I also did that at some point with pleikki I think...

    Few things that are off:

    You calculate in the different attributes part three times - that means you calculate the chance for a wand of a specific attribute (not just getting any q9 20/20 as title suggests.

    You say there's 21 possibilities for attr on hct and hsr. Now only 18attr can drop as hsr/hct (estor, sr, fc can't) Furthermore that only applies to multiprofession wands - getting a matching fire wand would be significantly easier since only ele-attributes could come.

    You say there are 21 possibilities for the req - that's only 14 for multi profession wands (if I counted properly)

    As pyro said 8% and 18% aren't within the available range on todays drop.

    Os wands do not necessarily have an "insc" + a "wrap" - doesn't mean any combination is possible, but more than you respect this way. On shields I'm far more into what is and is not a possible combination.

    And finally as pyro stated: number of possibilities does by far not say anything considering rarity or rate! Think of os swords - following the logic there's 12 (including nomod) possibilities and you'd deduce a 1:12 ratio for a 15/-1healthreg one - which is by far off.

    Long story short - fun project for sure but off on a few assumptions. Just properly deducing all the possibilities is something I would be unable to do since I do not know which combinations of mods are possible. Then deducing the chance is something which is again far off my capabilities - as said: different mods may carry different chances.

    Fun idea we followed back then: what about foci? There are all the armor mods, all the +1 attr mods and so on. Compared to all the possibilities on there wand seem easy to get as matching ;)

    so please Oofus don't you dare call that q9 20/10 earth straw effigy "half decent" again or I'm calling the police and sue you so you lose custody for it, it ends up for adoption and I will jump in as parent... that's one of the best foci I have seen!

    Edit: on topic - hasn't there been a q7 19/19 multiproffession foc somewhere?
