• FWIW, I've seen glitches like that with overheating graphics cards. If the problem appears when you've been playing a while, you might want to check if there's some problem with the cooling (e.g. the gfx card fan has stopped working).
• Integrated intel GPU? I had the same issues when the drivers automatically updated. I rolled back to the factory drivers, manually installed the latest version from early January (ignore the OEM customization warning) and then disabled driver updates.

I think you should check first for overheating and second if the error disappears if you use an older driver for your graphic card.

You have the right password for GW, otherwise you can't get the to the window where it ask you for the Code in the email.

What I don't understand, if you get the Code and you copy it into the window like in your first post, why can't you log in. Or can you?

If you never logged in with the Code, the window of your first post will always pop up. Same happens, if you uncheck the box in the picture of your first post.

For the second one, try to send an email to another email of you from the account you log in to GW. Respond to this email to test if your email address receives mail.

Think of it this way: You can make rapid progress in the story with Dervish, which you can also use well in the endgame. Nightfall is one of the quickest campaigns to play through.
If you've never played Paragon, I recommend it - also because of the fast-paced campaign.

Factions was my first campaign. I appreciated the balance of tutorial / game mechanics and story back then. Good for a quick restart of the game. First Heroes in Kaineng.

For a nostalgic introduction, I would choose Prophecies; in my opinion the most beautiful story. For a soft start, the class that was your favourite from back then would be a good choice.

Another HM is not likely to make the game any more interesting. Specific builds will be created that work for the exact scenario, probably using already existing builds - build diversity is the great strength of GW. Always playing the same builds is pointless. Forcing these builds is unnecessary.

If they want to improve the game, I have two wishes:

1) Some of the collectors have boring text, especially in prophecy. They just say "I'm searching for ***. I can offer you one of these items in exchange. Can you help me?". So many collectors have a hilarious story to tell about motives for collecting. One of my favourites is:

They could replace the boring texts. I'm sure the community would be happy to provide phrases that just need to be inserted.

2) Also improving the graphics of the old castles and fortresses that can be found in Kryta. You can only see a few from up close, at best they look very pixelated.

Sidenote: GW works smooth on an older machine on which I didn't update Ubuntu to the next version, it's 20.04.6 LTS now and still no issues.

Probably the easyiest attempt to solve your problem is to check your assigned physical memory. Open your console and type:

sfc /scannow

You built your PC on your own, I assume. Check if RAM is correctly installed (once I had the problem a RAM wasn't fully plugged in its socket).

I know for sure, Shiro's Return never troubled me.

There are no addons installed. Only one thing: I had to switch on an old Windows PC because I have some trouble to start the game in Ubuntu 21 after I updated it from 20.

Yesterday I tried Gates of Kryta HM the third time to have an example, and it wrote the chapter. So today I tried Augury Rock because it can be done quickly, and after the second run through I had the chapter. After, at Divinity Coast, I had the chapter after one attempt.

Either there is a delay for the entries, or it has something to do with the fact that I had already started the two books several times. I only finished 1 or 2 chapters, then I disposed of the books because I needed the space.

I never threw Shiro's Return NM / HM away, because the book is already more than half full.

I will do more missions to test whether the chapters will be entered.

I started with GW in 2006. First I bought Factions, then Prophecies in 2007 and Nightfall in the same year. GWEN also joined in 2007. I still have all activation cards
