Do max q8's still drop?

Hi I haven't done any q8 farming in the past and I was wondering if these still dropped in the game. E.g. this video here:

Does this farm still work for q8's? Has anyone found one recently? Thanks in advance for any input

R8 max stuff can still drop but in normal mode only, and I think the baddies have to be level 18-21.
Pleikki can confirm for sure, but I'm reasonably sure that's it.

As for that particular farm, I have no idea.

Not every type of weapon drops in q8. q8 bows do not drop anymore. I believe in the situation max described that a q8 sword can still drop. Also q8 offhand and q8 shield. No other q8s drop still.

Yep. Bows, hammers, staves and axes can't drop r8 max any more.

Swords shields and offhandd can drop gold/purple from.lvl 17-21 foes and chests, so yes vermins do drop q8s in nm

Im confused why do only Swords, Shields, and offhands drop in q8? Why cant the other ones drop in q8? Wouldnt they all be able to drop as long as in the level range?

I'm intrigued. When did axes stop dropping in q8?
I'm pretty sure the q8 Naked Spiked Axe I sold to Hrwakka a while ago was a fairly recent acquisition! My memory may be fuzzy though!

Q8 axes stopped dropping same as other things got nerfed just before nf release, noneone been able to prove one drop since (like screen drop in ground unid, reserved to someone after dropping etc). Also the drop mechanics are same in all campaings, if others still dropped q8 im sure there would be insc q8s of other types

Item reqs depend on item lvls, and since the nerfs many ppl put alot time researching item lvls of max and nonmax q8 drops and none of other types (like axe) has dropped in item lvl low enough so it could be q8. You can find out item lvl by unid gold value of item, 30-32g value items "couldve" been q8, truthfully anet ment nerf all q8s but the few lvls mistakely got left out of the range they changed. Q8 drops these days are rarer then q7s used to be, and q8 drops used be fairly common before the nerfs (i might be rusty on the gold values it couldve been up to 34g)

Yeah I'm with Pleikki on this. Q8 axes don't drop anymore. I think you are mistaken Ddraeg. No one has been able to prove a Q8 axe drop in years and years - likely because they don't drop anymore.

Yes 1st keyless chest in sorrow furnance in killroy stonekings quest drops q8s and has small change dropping purple q8 crysta. Thats only keyless which has low lvl enough

Well if you knew which chest it was you COULD have figured it out yourself with the info previously given in this thread. However I get why you asked the question, because tbh, I wasn't too sure myself :p
