• I was happy to hit r3 on my prophecies only ele account to get the ebon vanguard merchant but then realized most of it didn't mean much. A few rez scrolls might possibly one day be useful.

Those res scrolls, powerstones and summoning stones might be how I bruteforce my way through 4 and 6 man HM missions ._.

Too bad there aren't any ways to get Asura/Norn/Delver without entering EotN. Got really excited for about 45 seconds though when I realized you can 8/13 pages of Young Heroes of Tyria and max Sunspear and Lightbringer that way, followed by a deep sadness when I stopped being illiterate and realized I'd have to turn in the book in the Sunspear Great Hall and Chantry of Secrets...hopes=dashed

They only give 1k rep points each anyhow for 8 missions. You would have to "bruteforce" your way through each 100 times ;)

If you can get access to Elder Rabne you might have good consumable access through royal gifts maybe?

Royal Gifts would be great, but I'm not sure I can even access them without completing Asuran Allies and Ebon Vanguard Allies, coz I can't find a WiK collector that would trade with just the first step of WiK complete.

I got the dunes of despair bonus with the most jank bar ever ;)

Even had a 1.5 minutes left over.

Ok buddy, ok pal, ok dude. No need to flex on me that hard ._.
I'm working on some spice too.

  • Yeah I couldn't figure out the npc so I went to wiki again and checked the flow chart. Apparently it is basically locked behind EotN. We can get the confessor orders but we cant do anything with them.

I got a lucky boss spawn setup. Full ranged the first general (ranger and 2 bows) and his spawn group (the 3 necro forgotten) before taking ghostly hero to altar. Got necro boss entering west gate. Got monk general on right side and warrior general on left. The ele boss might have been quicker than the monk boss but I had enough pressure dps to kill and enough time to clear out the warrior boss team before the monk general's spawn group got to the ghostly hero.

    My build was,

    W/E

    Air 12, Fire 12

Glimmering Mark, Mark of Rodgort, Glyph of Lesser Energy, Conjure Flame

Used a collector fire staff with a +27 hale mod. Didn't have a wrap for it, +% enchanting would have been ideal. Had a mix of radiant/survivor insignias. Didn't bother changing my major axe/strength runes out.

    Lina/Alesia/Stephan/Dunham/Claude

Could probably have changed out lina or stephan for reyna to get better burning up time and cap out the bosses degen since they have natural resistance for +3 HR.

Beyond simply fishing for a good spawn on the bosses I would estimate a player needs to do a minimum of about 35 ranged single target dps to have enough time to clear the bonus.

  • It's not just about fishing for a good spawn though... I find that the absolutely mentally deficient henchmen AI is the real hurdle.

Just had an amazing spawn, pulled the mesmer boss so as to bug the Ghostly outside the fortress, killed the wurm and first bonus boss (monk) by luring it with a bow, got the mesmer boss to 25%, flagged henchmen and ran to trigger the Ghostly. As I come back, I see the mesmer was back to 80%, the henchmen weren't casting or attacking it and we ended up failing to kill it on time.

I noticed while vanquishing that sometimes the henchmen would just stop moving and literally stood there doing nothing. While it's annoying during vanquishing, it can easily ruin mission attempts and waste 15minutes... no idea why they never updated henchmen AI...

  • So I tried this method for several hours and it just doesn't work out. Getting the ghostly hero outside the fort doing this and when you run back in there are already ele foes converging in on you so I don't see how you even get out of the fort without wiping. I did try killing them off 1 group at a time but it takes a lot of time just to see more foes coming in. Not saying its impossible it is just very tedious and time consuming to setup.

To get the henchmen to kill goss aleessh lure him up by the bridge and get him down to like 1/3 hp and then grab hero and run him to the altar. The henchmen will kill him in that time or close to.
