I'd have thought that the energy implications of crit strikes or soul reaping would do more than 5% AP for your attack skills or 5% crit rate, seeing as both of those operate only on weapon base damage (which for daggers isn't a gigantic thing to begin with).

Not sure which is better though.

Does strength armor pen apply to all death blossom hits?

Death blossom's AoE hits aren't actually attacks and are flat armor ignoring damage to begin with. The concise description sort of leads you to believe that, but the long description seems a lot closer to what it really does.
