Returning player with a bad taste in his mouth

  • Hello Community!

I'm a returning presearing player who had an UW geared Kaineng ripoff merchant, bad experience.

Basically, I was the idiot that clicked OK to a mini for x Blobs and X shards and received little to nothing.

Anyway, lesson learnt and hear I am X number of years later taking my second plunge into GW trading, but this time asking for nice people to help me :)

Soooo, in GW1 I have around 90 minis and around 80 Birthday Present Vouchers - I'm really enjoying re-living presearing, it runs really good on my couch on steam deck, and no one is running me through the areas so I get to explore every inch of the world. (Who knew Green drops existed before Barrage Party's ????)

I'd like some help on knowing if I should do anything with these minis, or birthday present vouchers to help make me plat to gear up my heroes, etc.

I also have Gw2 sizzle, that I know no shizzle, but that's for another day.

Anyway, peace to you all, thanks for reading, and I hope to xplore some fun stuff with you all one day :)

    All the best, Steely

  • Not an expert opinion but if you look on the Guild Wars wiki at all the possible minis that drop from birthday presents, the only ones with any decent value are rare drops in the seventh birthday gift, and even those only for 20-30e. Always more valuable to not dedicate them to the hall of monuments. The rest just don't sell.

  • DMach Storage isnt in pre and the screenshot shows the items in storage so its not in pre.

hazeyaguy Pre-Searing is the starter area of the prophecies campaign which has its own functioning economy to the rest of the game because xunlai storage is not available there.

As mentioned above, Green and Gold mini's that are NOT 7th Birthday exclusive rares are difficult to sell and are a token number of ectos. If you have ANY miniatures or EL Tonics that are not available via birthday presents, (guild wars wiki will help you deciphering that however i don't see any in the screenshot provided) it would likely be worth a considerable sum.

If you really wanted to sell them you may get 5e or so for each Green/Gold birthday mini that isnt a 7th birthday exclusive rare.

For non unique items like this and considering you have had a bad experience prior, id also recommend checking out kamadan trade chat, you can search historical logs of the trade chat history in kamadan to get a feel for pricing before selling.
